Decent kick from Folau; we finally get one well out.

We need to quit the silly mistakes, costly in test matches. First scrum! SA packed early, all night sir!

Good kick from Foley to level it up.

Back the same way, why Phipps? Lucky we held onto that and got the penalty. That kick off was hilarious, short and a complete mess yet SA take it and make a complete mess of it.

Too easy, hands wide and SA is in. Our defence needed to sit and jockey but instead rushed up and SA hands were too good. To'omua with the poor decision there.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Phipps at number 1 in the lineout, Hooper at halfback. We are getting over the advantage line but SA are getting over the ball more quickly than our cleanout.

Off his feet killing the ball. Have to remain on your feet at rucks. Hooper and Foley over the ball there to earn a penalty. And freaking Phipps takes a quick tap. Argh.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

They need to kick it from our 22, but not kick if from the 40m line.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Carter with some sloppy breakdown work, shame as we had an open field and front foot ball. We need to be more accurate.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Poor decision from Phipps trying to run that. We need to get Foley to stop kicking it so much as well, that should be To'omua's job. It's not why he's in the team.

Our woeful second half cost us that game. For some reason we went back to playing really conservative, Deans-like rugby and it didn't work. Looked like completely different tactics out there from the first half, when apparently it wasn't really meant to be.

Perth Spirit v Greater Sydney Rams

It's also very close to a Spirit B team. Spirit are a very different team in Perth.

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Second half humiliation for City there, Rising just way too good. No idea what City were thinking in their second half tactics. They will need a huge improvement to challenge again. Rising now look strong favourites for this year's comp. Can't see a team come close to that level of rugby...

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Wow, Harry Parker really is a level or two below the NRC level of rugby.

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Rising in again. They are playing basic rugby now with their subs on and finding space and driving through tackles easily. City just need to try to get some structure. Like men vs boys at the moment.

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Another City throw picked off, too easy. Throw was way too low.

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Counter ruck from Rising has been good too, City been well beaten at ruck time.
  18. Ash

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

Jones steals a 7m lineout. City set peice a shambles, second half scrum on top though.

Brisbane City v Melbourne Rising, Saturday 6 September @ Ballymore

For some reason, City decided to play basketball rugby, which also meant that they seemed to forgot to work on defence. City scoreless in the second half so far. Genia scrapped at the ruck base, some things don't change.

Rising in again, City defence is just woeful. Genia with a quick tap was half on, but still obviously a poor decision.
