    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Fair point. Except we know Kerevi is going to be at 12 - his form deserves selection. That takes away a solid kicking option a player like To'omua, Hodge at 12. I know Kerevi makes the odd kick but mainly when no other options are avaliable. I'd still rather Lilo do that then Foley if we are...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Jake White at the Brumbies proved this to be true. Pretty sure every Brumbies fan including myself was impressed by his coaching time even if it meant a new style of play and a game or two of end-to-end kicking rugby.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

We don't need superior kicking to win. But to work on your last point, we can reduce our weakness (of exiting our 22) by picking anyone but Foley at 10. It's probably a 50/50 Lilo or Foley at 10 anyways, none really offering anything over the other in attack in current form so you might as...

Screw X-Factor... give me a combination of solid all-rounders any day - at least for Test rugby.

On form Banks clearly the most consistent kicker. I'd have him at 15 for that reason. Lilo can exit from the 22 consistently - which has always been a struggle with the wallabies, although I agree his general play kicking has been hit and miss - although mostly poor choice with grubbers etc...

Even as a die hard Brumbies supporter I doubt he could either. Great season and super xv player though.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I share that frustration. He just too slow these days, easily burnt on the outside by attackers - he will be a weakness in defence and now offering little in attack. Playing your heart out will only go so far depending on your physical abilities. I think Kuridrani and Hodge offer all the cover...

Semi Final - Brumbies vs Jaguares, Sat 29 June, 9:05 am (AEST)

Who is the 10 going to be next year? Jackson-Hope?

Does that kicking include exiting his 22 or primarily attacking or other general play kicks? I think Foley in the past can kick in general play pretty well but struggles to exit his own 22 or get any solid distance doing this.

Plus I really don't like DHP as a winger, he's had some defensive woes and he's just too damn slow.

Surely they start the Squad like this: 1. Sio 2. Fainga 3. Ala'alatoa 4. Arnold 5. 6. 7. Hooper (assuming Pocock unfit) 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. Kerevi 13. 14. 15. Think most others have merit around experience verse form verse combinations/balance but I'd like to see Kuirindrani at 13 and Banks at 15.

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

I have no issues with players being pick coming straight from overseas - form permitting. Given the standard may be slightly lower then super XV they should have outstanding form before being considered. I haven't heard a thing about White's form which makes me think it's average - plus even...

Semi Final - Brumbies vs Jaguares, Sat 29 June, 9:05 am (AEST)

Arnold is going to be a big loss, what a shame he is leaving at the peak of his form. Hopefully only goes for a year and comes back to Aus in even better form. (why can't these players in peak form leave 3-4 years ago - or 3-4 years later).

Semi Final - Brumbies vs Jaguares, Sat 29 June, 9:05 am (AEST)

    - Poor line-out - Easily out-kicked - Poor handling A worrying combination and unexpected given how strong the Brumbies set-piece has been this season, plus there skills/handling seemed to be building and getting better each game. I just worry the Jag's laid a very easy platform for how any...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

Yeh it ruined the game didn't it. Not being biased, there were poor calls on both sides. But damn there was so many stoppages in play for penalties and video refs etc. When they actually played it was good but it was so far inbetween it got boring at times. I had my league mate watching and...

Wallabies vs Ireland - 3rd test - Saturday 23rd June 2018 - Sydney Football Stadium

Phipps passed consistency above players heads. Sure it will go down on the stats as a successful pass, but it gives the defence an extra second to set. Agree Powell's was the worst pass of the game, but then his other passes were at least in front of the man and to the players hands. The attack...
