I agree re SCT. Will be good to see how they progress over the next 2 games against the WF and the 3 games against the Asia Pacific Dragons.

Like the speed that some WF can post some try highlights. Surprising that the Rebels had no room for young Jack McGregor. Andrew Deegan made a couple of errors but still did a lot of good in the win over the South China Tigers. https://www.facebook.com/rapidrugby/videos/561974634289177/

I'm picking Force by lots but the lads should not under-estimate the Hong Kong team. Liking some of the combinations including: Prior & Deegan (Fines) Iona & Taefu (Alatimu) Class starting Back Row with Ferris off the bench. Good back up front row with plenty of pace. Clay Uyen as a utility...

    Western Force 2019

Why the passion stays alive in the West........good to relive that first home win against the Canes and some of those wins against the Crusaders and Tahs (including the memorable last one).

An interesting mix of players for the Hong Kong team in the kick-off for the Asia Showcase. Marque players: MA Chong (China's Nat Rugby Captain), Tom Varndell (England, Leicester, Wasps, Bristol, Scarlets) and Samisoni Viriviri Nasagavesi (Fiji, Fiji 7s, Nadroga, Montpellier). Capped HK...

The issue has not been one of preference but one of fitness. He'd get more game time if he could stay on the park.

This level of fan engagement has to be a good sign for the future of GRR. Note - it wasn't just for the HB......

    Western Force Exhibition Games

I think Mr Cooper forgot this component of the GRR new rules. I hear that Matt Hodgson is responsible for all refereeing in GRR and will personally be critiquing each ref after each game. Good move as he's co-ordinated all of the rule changes. I reckon we'll experience fewer scrum resets in...

    Western Force Exhibition Games

The fan engagement at the end of the match was the best we've seen in Perth for quite a while. This may look like it was all for the HB but not the case. Plenty of other players between the lens and the horizon.

He's looking better as a ball-carrier with an additional 5-6 kgs around the bucket. McGregor was wanted by the Rebels but certainly building a strong following in the West.

    Western Force Exhibition Games

This is the 1st hit-out for the WF players since the NRC last year. Looked much the same of for Round 1 for Super Rugby. Fans enjoyed the access to the ground/players after the game. Crowd about ~11,500 - would expect more for the game against Hong Kong next week.

Good team selection with healthy mix of local talent. Fantastic to see Keiran Longbottom, Clay Uyen, Brad Lacey, Tevin Ferris and Nick Jooste in the mix. Also good to see Andrew Ready making his way into the XXXIII after his move to the West. Expecting big things this year from Andrew...

And do you think that that's: Reasonable? A good thing? A bad thing? Seems reasonable to me as we're talking about a professional sport and the $$s have to come from somewhere. The Australian model of the $$s being equitably (???) distributed by Rugby Australia certainly doesn't work.
