    Global Rapid Rugby

Samoa embraces revolutionary Global Rapid Rugby APIA, SAMOA – WEDNESDAY 10 APRIL 2019: Global Rugby maybe revolutionary with its 70 minutes playing time and time limits for scrums and lineouts. Scoring tries will take in not 5 or 7 but 9 points without even having to convert the try. But as...

    Rd 9: Rebels v Stormers - Fri 12th @7:45pm

Interesting how contagious is the non-reporting of crowd figures as attendance for Super Rugby games continue to diminish. The Waratahs stopped reporting crowd figures of <10,000 a couple of years ago. Now the Rebels and AAMI Park are doing the same........no crowd attendance figures for games...

Good game until the Dragons ran out of puff. Fines and Alatimu a good halves combination. Jooste a tough nut with an excellent boot. Great first showing by Tizzano and McDonald. Bit of a shame that the ref didn't read the new rules around scrum re-sets.

Fantastic to see the Western Force involve young club rugby players in the handing out of jerseys to young local talent Carlo Tizzano (UWA) and Michael McDonald (Palmyra).

Some interesting changes to the XXXIII for the Dragons game. Resting the main play-makers from the first 2 games - Ian Prior, Andrew Deegan and Jack McGregor. Pleasing to see Carlo Tizzano (pictured) get his first run-on start after recovering from a niggling groin injury - especially after...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Chairman Clyne's comments are already preparing everybody for a bad 2019 financial result. I'm interested to see how much of the $5.2 million 2018 surplus by the RA is due to pre-payments for the Bled Cup games in 2019?

    Global Rapid Rugby

Hi RR.....I reckon the Asian market will take some time to develop. The big rugby crowds in WA have proved somewhat parochial over the years. Strong RSA and NZ following which doesn't always equate to local Club Rugby or WF support. The SBS free-to-air option may have had an impact when there...
