    Exit from Super Rugby?

What, at being the usual clever dick? What possible value does that kind of drivel add to any argument? He gets paid for it I assume? But listening to his "commentary" every week I am not surprised. He is one of the worst rugby journos going around and that says something.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

So this thing seems like its not some last dutch April fools attempt: Tew is almost as excited as Pulver and Conrad likes it: http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/9997792/Conrad-Smith-supports-Super-Rugby-expansion

Fuck off. There's no space in my gutter.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Look I get that you hate all things South African but let's not start on accents. By your logic the Reds should be thrown out of the comp for a very poor run for a number of years before Link came on board. The Bulls won the comp three times. They lost 11 Springboks in the last two years and...

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Who are the five teams? And boy those Rebels have really blazed a trail and until this season the Force was a farce. Those two have until this year hardly been any better that the Cheetahs and Lions oh and neither has come close to a semi final and the Cheetahs have. The Rebels hold no more...

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Hang on a sec. I don't for a moment deny that SARU is an incompetent, self serving mess, but like Braveheart notes, they are not necessarily the big bad bully here. Everyone has an agenda here. Why if it is so bad for Australia is Bill Pulver the one to break it to the media like it's some...

    Rebels v Sharks, R12 @ AAMI Park

Fish: Cell C Sharks team: Lwazi Mvovo, Odwa Ndungane, Paul Jordaan, Heimar Williams, JP Pietersen, Frans Steyn, Charl Mcleod, Ryan Kankowski, Jean Deysel, Marcell Coetzee, Stephan Lewies, Willem Alberts, Jannie du Plessis, Bismarck du Plessis (capt), Beast Mtwarira. Replacements: Kyle Cooper...

    Exit from Super Rugby?

I think it's a disaster for South Africa as well. It dilutes a shrinking pool of high quality players, and makes our better teams player more minnows more regularly. It will be a monumental fuckup if this actually eventualises.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

You two party-pooping miserable flaptwats should get a room. (I do to a small extent agree once they refer to Chelsea or Man Utd as "us" - I know a few people who do that.) I actually think its worse if you wear something totally random like the Tucuman Titgrabbers, a team you have never...

    Tahs v Canes @ SFS - Round 12

Seriously. I have no sympathy. The Foley / Beale Axis of Evil Crabbing (TM) is set to continue. My Grandfather wasn't a particularly wise man but the only thing I can ever remember him telling me is that when you keep doing the same stupid thing over an over again you deserve to suffer.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Nobody except SARU and the Kings wants another team and I mean nobody. SARU is an immensely dysfunctional organisation which has made petty infighting into an art form. There is no logic to wanting another team other than putting out internal political fires and because of favours owed...

We actually agree in principle but not applicability.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

I would argue the vast majority are fans through and through. Sure there are bandwagoners / scukers and millions of them but they are not the majority. You underestimate the level of obsession people have with football. Rugby can't even begin to imagine. It can only wish.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Welcome to 2014. Is suspect these pesky globalisation and capitalism nuisances rely aren't your thing. These are global brands. It has less to do with sport than it has to do with the power of association.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Why is New Zealand then not pushing for another team? Or are they?

    Exit from Super Rugby?

And an captive audience who was starved live sport so they could tap into marginal rugby fans as well. People in Western Sydney have lots of soccer, Loig and AFL to choose from already. It's a much harder sell.

    Exit from Super Rugby?

Thank goodness the world is not full of CEO's who just "try something different because the existing model isn't working." Any changes to any business model involves some assumptions and models of potential future revenue streams. Market demand happens to be a MAJOR driver in any such models...

    South Africa to reintroduce quotas

There has been a LOT of money spent at the grassroots level over the last 10 to 20 years but SARU has never been particularly good at managing anything hence the lack of players coming through. It seems as if it's mainly left up to the Unions themselves, and some have been poor and others...
