    More defensive rucks than not he doesn’t get held in, spins out of it, and reloads at pillar/post or lines up for the next pilf. But we’ll agree to disagree

    I think you’re confusing ‘being blown away’ with an intentional effort to abandon the defensive ruck once it’s lost / he hasn’t got the pilf to reload in the defensive line. It is arguably the most effective part of his game

    Pretty common practice to reduce load/flexion/extension - happened with both JOC (James O'Connor) and Isaac Henry coming back from leg injuries at the Reds last couple of seasons
