    Waratahs 2022

Not making excuses for the Tahs recruitment and development these last few years and yes, Gibson has a lot to answer for. I could’ve put the same post on the wallabies thread but someone was asking where the Aussie locks are. I’m simply saying why would any decent lock stay here when the carrot...

Locks seem to get paid better OS. If the wallabies pick OS based locks, why would anyone stay here?

    Wallabies 2021

Agreed. If we are going with Kerevi at 12 when fit, why would we not play someone with similar attributes for continuity?

without a doubt. Hopefully the rebels get him in their coaching set up somehow and transition him out of playing the game for his sake.

Pity there aren’t any old fashioned tour matches against clubs/provinces any more. We could have given Kellaway, JP and Wright a go at fb, to see how they go there.

Tom Decent in the herald saying no To'omua for tour due to concussions. Hunter or JOC (James O'Connor) there until Kerevi fit I’d imagine. Edit: is Perese fit?

36, I think. We have had 40, when you include NH based players inclusions means some will stay home

As RR says, there would have to be negotiations. If JP wanted to stay, they couldn’t make him move. I’m not too savvy with the business side of sports, but I’d imagine the agents would work directly with the ARU.

Badly worded. Obviously it would have to work for everyone.

    Wallabies 2021

As RR said “ on the surface”. I'd hope it was done with all the provinces pushing in the same direction. I think it’s good in that we as a nation can have all the talent playing (no stockpiling). For example, The Tahs have a few good 5/8ths, Brumbies locks, Reds outside backs. If we can get all...

Agreed. It might lighten these pages with all the speculation of trying players out of position. If Rennie sees Wright as a 15 and the brumbies want to continue with Banks (as an example) the ARU could put him with another province.

Article today on the Fox Sports website talking about centralising rugby here, ala Ireland and NZ. https://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/wallabies/rugby-australia-news-2021-new-centralised-model-biggest-change-since-rugby-went-professional-wallabies-results/news-story/e39f964de7c5abae519ddf9376a520b8

Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) seems to lack fire and motivation in some games. Like he needs something to anger him to fire up. I’d like to see him perform consistently with the dynamism and aggression he is capable of because when he carrys strongly or chops someone in two it is good

Another thing that let us down was kick off receptions.

So why do some loose heads play both sides and some don’t?
  17. Drew

    Wallabies 2021

Pones been injured for months. Also, pardon my ignorance, but what makes some props able to play both sides and others not? I mean, Robertson playing THP with the much larger Bell at LHP in recent games seemed to go against what I’d imagine the body types of the those positions would require...

Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

Totally agree. It’s also the fact he feels he needs to do something extraordinary with every touch. In his last outing Wright was guilty of the same. Tonight he chose his moments, which was better for him and the team. Kerevi has improved because he doesn’t try and do it all himself all the...
