    Reds 2011

Is anyone going to the function at the Normanby tonight? Does the $49 get you a steak dinner plus all the beer/wine you can put away for 2.5hrs? If so, that is a pretty good deal!

    watching rugby in tokyo?

I would go with Irish Pub plan. Paddy Foleys in Roppongi should be able to sort you out with coverage.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

So much has been made of the battle of the breakdown and 10's in the lead up to this match. Expect it might come down to a few other key areas though. For Reds to win: 1. Will Genia needs to show he is a class above Valentine and Phibbs and make some good darting runs rather than kicking it...

    G&GR Fantasy Super Rugby 2011

SBW will be the "most transferred in" player next week. Once he gets rid of the rustiness in his game from not playing for 3 months, the errors will go but the line break creates and tries will stay.

Is Schatz injured at all? Has a moonboot on in this pic from J Horwill's twitter but maybe he's just stolen it from James? http://yfrog.com/hsbznzdj

Best Place (Pub/Bar) to Watch S15 Rugby in Brisbane?

If you are just going straight after work in th CBD, I would agree with the Exchange suggestion. http://www.theexchange.com.au/lockerroom However, it depends how much you want to pay for your drinks too. If not much is the answer, give the Embassy a look before heading over to the Exchange...

Any updates on the line-ups? Ticketek website names Gregan as in for the Wallabies.

Christchurch must retain World Cup fixtures

I went to the Tokyo Bledisloe in 2009. If the World Cup was held there this year it would've been an unmitigated disaster. Most locals in the stands had next to no idea what was going on, and they ran out of beer after about 50 mins in the stadium.... As it stands, this disaster has been...

    Reds 2011

Reds Academy side can't seem to crack it for a win. Down by 1 to a late penalty tonight. http://www.redsrugby.com.au/NewsEvents/NewsArticles/tabid/581/ArticleID/1562/Default.aspx

    Classic Bledisloe Match for Charity

I wonder if Campo will get a start? Then him & Marto can re-enact that magical moment from the 89 Lions Tour for the fans.... Would be good if Tune and Roff turned up on the wings. Maybe they should just go for the 1999 World Cup winning backline. Although Dan Herbert looks like he might...

Christchurch must retain World Cup fixtures

Sydney & Melbourne's stadiums will be booked up with other codes finals matches, not to mention all the restrictions RWC place around signage at the grounds and other sponsors agreements etc that would have to be resolved. Just can not see any games being shifted to Oz so think we should stop...

Christchurch must retain World Cup fixtures

I don't think they're too worried about the $$. This tournament is about National Pride for the Kiwis. So I would think Dunedin will get the job for the Opening weekend matches before they gave them up to Australia. Brand spanking new stadium that can hold 30,000. Should pretty well cover it...

    OK, who's injured?

Phil Waugh could well be out for 3 months. Lucky for him it's a longer season now. http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/waugh-ruled-out-for-three-months-as-physical-approach-takes-its-toll-20110227-1ba2v.html

Christchurch must retain World Cup fixtures

I also hope they can keep the matches. The residents need something to look forward to and help take their minds off the horrors of the past week. The accommodation I have booked for the opening weekend has come through pretty much unscathed but not sure how many other places around town can...

    Classic Bledisloe Match for Charity

There is a little bit of information on the Triple M website but I think it's still early days in so far as sorting out who will be playing. http://www.triplem.com.au/brisbane/shows/thecage/blog/marto-to-host-wallabies-vs-all-blacks-charity-match/20110225-birh.html

Sadly, and contrary to my hopes this afternoon, Van and Simmo did not step up tonight. Those 2 ****s got rolled. Bigtime.
