    John Eales Medal

In the 9 years of the JE Medal, it's gone to the openside flanker 4 times. I kind of think rugby needs to move away from an openside dominated game. I hope Reid or Smith (Juan) wins the Man of the Year Award or whatever the IRB call it. Less fetching and more thumping is what rugby needs.

Nickname for that team across the Dutch

I like it T. How about ... The Red Stars.

    John Eales Medal

The JE Medal is like the Golden Globes. It's just a prelude to the Oscars. The award that all the players care about is the Green and Gold Rugby ... er .. laminated A4 sheet ... with their name on.

Nickname for that team across the Dutch

I like "The Poxies", but also "Adidas", and "The Product". But my vote's not worth any more than anyone else's any more. :'(

    Winter Tours Tipping

Ah, shit, I see. OK, I'm quitting G&GR and joining Green and Gold Rugby. Sorry for the mix up.

    Winter Tours Tipping

Does anyone want to be the skipper of the Spring Tours tipping comp? Superbru have a nice one.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

On the other hand, sack Giteau for every reason.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

You had to go and bring that up. I had almost forgotten. Waratahs v Highlanders, losing the game from about 20 points up with 20 to go. Burke misses penalty from directly in front after the siren. I kept the back page of the paper the next day. Headline: YOU MUST BE CHOKING.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

You know, I would like one of the 10 or 12 to be able to kick to the corners. That is the main reason to pick Barnes. But franky, I don't believe in his progress towards this skill. Out of Cooper, Gits and Sook, it's Qwade that has improved the most at this. I'd be bloody tempted to start Ant...

Springboks 2010 End Of Year Tour

Januarie really is terrible, isn't he? But what about game plan? Anything new for the NH tour? Or the same game plan that lost 5 games in the 3N?

    Prop Dilemma

Completely agree with JM. Everyone knows the A-team is the Bens. After that, I haven't understood what the coaching staff are doing. We all know about bench-gate, but what about Weeks-gate? Those would be among the two biggest mysteries for me this year. Add in the raping of Al, and you've got a...

    Rupeni Caucau v Jonah Lomah

I saw both of Caucau's games for Fiji in the RWC2003 - vs Scotland (SFS) and France (Suncorp). If there is an award for most spectacular, jaw-dropping, forehead-slapping tries, it would go to Rupeni, no doubt. But you have to vote Lomu here, I think, for havoc and devastation at his peak.

2010 Wallabies End of Year Tour (EOYT)

Still quite a few guys on there that ONLY Robbie would pick. Interesting to see how Deans goes with Nuci over his shoulder, but you would have to assume that Nuci has signed off on this team.

    Waratahs 2011

You've still got it, cyclo. Two years running for Funniest Poster?

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

MJ was right. Cipriani (possibly) turning out to be a **** after all (possibly). http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-union/union-news/danny-cipriani-a-noshow-at-team-conference-20101005-165m2.html Macqueen sounds like he's spewing about it.

Also - whatever your personal opinion, Baxter was the first choice tight head in the aggregate G&GR team at the start of the year, and now he can't get a look in. Seems like Bryce Lawrence has ended his career with the collaboration of Robbie Deans.

I hope To'omua gets some time on the field at 10. We're not exactly oversupplied with flyhalves.

MacQueen turned the Wallabies around in one pre-season

Just going back to the "eyeballing" issue, from history, you would have to say that neither Robbie or John Mitchell agree. Seems to be their MO.
