Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

The best defensive read in the country is available. A bloke called Anthony Fainga'a. I suspect the Messiah of coaches is being a Good Samaritan by getting Taps away from that bloke who is apparently responsible for his poor form.

Six I think. He smartened up when Mooney made him captain. That was Mooney's first year and link is now in his fourth.

Benny A getting the same as Squeek was disturbing. Benny A wasn't terrible but Moore was freeking outstanding. Far better than the 5 given to him.

Cut the crap mate. Your point was valid without the stereotype. This don't look good for Kev. Regardless of intent, a few weeks on the sideline would be a just result none the less. As for this being deliberate. I first thought it looked like it was as the motion of his legs didn't look...

If the allegation is true and that is a big IF, whoever responsible has breached a duty of care surely. Not just any injury, we are talking about a mans neck and the consequences could be very severe. This is more a matter of due diligence than hindsight.

One more little question. When Lilo went down in the first minute, did a little bulb in Dean's head light up with the thought that Beale should come on to strengthen play making and distribution rather than McCabe? The injuries didn't help but they our only part of the issue and questions...

He was. Gifted it to George North.

JOC (James O'Connor) not a 10. Stu Barnes said it perfect when he said he had no peripheral vision. Apparently he was there as he is the one to straighten our attack but really a petty spat is the reason why we didn't have a flyhalf that can straighten an attack and one that has good peripheral vision. I would...

    Root for the Wallabies

Yes I am being crude but was the pun in that post deliberate? Good work if so.

Scoey, How popular is Gold in QLD? I drink it here as it is my drop and because it is popular and it rotates frequently. When I was down for the Reds Lions game I was drinking proper XXXX off tap and it was sensational. Not that popular up here so not frequently rotated. HSD's aren't a bad...

    Heinrich Brussow off to Japan

McCaw has evolved his game over a substantially longer career than Brussouw. Look at the style of player he once was when younger. These days I would actually class McCaw's game more of that a 6 rather than a seven. It is the size fetish that gets him discriminated against although the rugby...

    Heinrich Brussow off to Japan

Brussouw is in the Pocock and McCaw level of player. He should be one of the first Bokke selected but instead seems a victim of a rather stale coaches pathetic obsession with size.

    Root for the Wallabies

They stole the 2011 GAGR RWC war cry. That's the disgrace. Good to see this thread bumped. Shit it was funny leading into the RWC.

You know what; I would trade this Lions series for the Bledisloe any day of the week and twice on Sunday's. What also worries me is that the Wallabies are stale and are not achieving to their potential and a series win here will just be an excuse to maintain the status quo. I want Wallaby...

Australia vs British and Irish Lions - 1st Test (Brisbane)

My ultimate solution comes from outside the squad but with the 23 we have Barnes to the bench for mine. Not a huge fan of his but he is good as a replacement rather than starting. I think he adapts better to the game rather than set the pace. Izzy to 15 for mine. I have no doubt he will...

    Reds 2014

With him still being young I would entertain the idea of converting Shipperly into an outside center. Strong defender, strong in contact, has plenty of toe and is not a small bloke by any means. As for Woody, I ham happy to see how he goes before passing judgement.

    FIRE UP WALLABY FANS!!!

I have been "fired up" since the first 26 in the squad were announced.

Brumbies v British & Irish Lions Tuesday 18 June 2013

Well done Brumbies. I got it all wrong in my assesment of what the Brumbies needed to do and happy to eat crow. A huge congratulations to Mogg on a sensational game. He just gave a massive FU to Deans.

Curious to see if the Brumbies can go uptempo. Clinical I don't think will get traction against the lions.

    Wallabies 31 Man Squad

So many of the players in the 31 man squad were short a gallop when selected and now all have been wrapped in cotton wool only to be short of a gallop when the first test rolls around. I am not a fan personally of this tactic but it makes you think that short of a gallop is not a major concern...
