The Reason i see that deans didnt pick a 4/6 in kimlin or MMM and the reason simmons has been in the team for both games is that he is the only other lineout caller. If mowen where to go down and simmons was not on the bench then we are stuffed. aswell as the points made above by Braveheart81

Been thinking about the McCalman selection. so just humour me. We know that Mowan sat out sessions during the week. Simmons is the only other lineout caller so that might be why he has been on the bench. Also Douglas didn’t look that great last week, and Smith hast played for a long time...

i think McCalman is there for his breakdown work. Deans wont want the Lions to have any clean ball. Kimlin has a better running game but McCalman makes his tackles and hits rucks. Slow ball will stuff the Lions.
