Back on topic, as a rugby follower or player since the early 80's, I still occasionally struggle with either the rules themselves or their interpretation. So I sympathise a great deal to anyone new to the game.

Just saw a news headline on ABC 24 saying the Kiwis are asking the ref to police the breakdown effectively against the Wallabies.....am I seeing things?

I'm starting to agree. Tackle-wise he seems to be persisting with trying to rip the ball from the tackled player rather than taking him down. It's worked for him before i think.....once back in the early stages of the Super XV.

Glad i'm not the only one who thought it sh*te....surprising that sort of drivel is in a serious paper, while discourse on here has been quite civil.
