    French rugby destinations

I've spent a bit of time in and around Grenoble doing climbing and skiing. Not a bad place and I hear it has a rugby team. Always wanted to go to Biarritz as well.

    Rugby Championship 2012: Our Backline

Yet to be convinced by him in that department. Some interesting thoughts on that here: Cut through that and there is a simple rugby case to be made that if Cooper wants to play at five-eighth - and leave his mark there - he has to defend at five-eighth. Rewind the clock back one week for a...

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

Is it just me or did Pocock have a quiet game in terms of communication with the ref? I got the feeling last week he couldn't shut up at times, but there was a lot less chat this weekend.

Interesting article about the growth prospects for US rugby: http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/jun/24/american-sports-fans-warming-rugby I particularly like this comment: "Good to see the first green shoots of a mature civilisation beginning to take hold out in the western colonies...

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

Nah the AB's went looking for the offload and putting players into gaps. We played conservatively and mainly took the ball into contact, looking for a quick recycle which was not always forthcoming. The take home message is to BRING the RUCKUS!

    William hatches an egg

Yeah I thought we were quite fortunate the Welsh weren't counter rucking very strongly. This tactic will be exposed against better teams.

Perhaps not worth an new thread but thought it curious about Barnes in the SMH team of the week: Paul Cully selects the form team from the weekend Tests. 15: Leigh Halfpenny (Wales) 14: JP Pietersen(South Africa) 13: Brian O'Driscoll (Ireland) 12: Berrick Barnes (Australia)* 11: Digby...

    New Zealand vs Ireland

Not very good quality but someone has pointed out a few (alleged) NZ transgressions in the final minutes, inlcuding the scrum:

    Argentina

And the Argies beat France 23-20 in the final minutes to make it a SH clean sweep [edit: with the exception of Scotland!] this weekend. Good to hear some new caps making an impact for the Pumas.

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

I know. Surely there must be an advantage to just playing on quickly, spreading it wide and finding an overlap. I can understand the need to regroup some of the time, but it is killing their own game.
