    2011 Team Of The Tournament

I think you made a mistake.......Genia has definatly not been the best 9

Not another "Four More Years Boys"

Well your club just signed Samoa's best two players at the WC. George Stowers impressed me greatly, he is one to look out for.

    RWC 2011 QF4: NZ v Argentina (W Pool A v RU Pool B)

It would be disrespectful to Argentina, but I agree. Without Fernandez-Lobbe, their backrow looks so weak. Leguizamon is a class player, but he alone cannot compete against Kaino, Read and Vito/Thompson. Cabello, Campos, Fessia, Senatore (whoever they pick), will be no match to their opposites.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

It's not like Barnes is a bad defender though? Not as good as McCabe but he makes up for that with what he offers in attack. McCabe running straight into de Villiers and Fourie is not going to do much for us, both are probably the best defensive center combination going around. But if Barnes is...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

You mention Burger, Fourie and Roussouw. McCabe didn't do much to stopping O'Brien, Ferris and Heaslip a few weeks back. Barnes ability to have that calming effect is vital in knock out rugby, especially if it's wet conditions. Allowing Quade to not have to overplay his hand is also very...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Yes 100%, I'm so fucking sick of Deans picking players simply to combat their opposites. This is acceptable to some extent, but why pick McCabe to combat de Villiers? Pick Barnes and make them find a way to deal with us having that extra playmaking and kicking option. I really hope Deans picks...

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

Few years back I used to rate Byrne as the best full back in the world, but now he can't seem to break into the starting 15. What happened, injury, loss of form, or just better players like North and Halfpenny coming along?

    RWC QF2: England v France (W Pool B v RU Pool A)

Oh you haven't seen anything yet. It's a rollercoaster being a Wallabies supporter. One week you're beating the All Blacks and winning the Tri-Nations, next you're losing to Samoa or putting in the worst performance in 4 years against Ireland. I think we have chosen the safe route and be...

Where the devil did all these NH posters come from?? haha

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

It's a great problem to have, the possibility of Stephen Jones, Leigh Halfpenny, Lee Byrne and Scott Williams all left out of the starting side shows the Welsh backline depth. For mine I'd have 9- Phillips 10- Priestland 11- Shane Williams 12- Jamie Roberts 13- Jonathan Davies 14- George North...

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

Ease up mate, I was simply implying the England is usually seen as the no.1 side from the UK by most from the SH, probably due to their WC record. But this World Cup has shown that Wales and Ireland are both probably beater sides. Guess we'll see by which one of the three make the final...

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

Shit this Welsh team looks good, all over the park quality players. Youngest side at the WC, begining of something maybe? I hope so, better then the English being the UK heavyweights

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

I'd have the same side no4918 except Vickerman starting. We need that early agression against the Boks, also why I think Higginbotham starting wouldn't be a bad idea. But I doubt it'll happen.

    2011 Team Of The Tournament

My Team of the Tournment so far 1- Cian Healy 2- Bismark du Plessis 3- Martin Castrogiovanni 4- Luke Chateris 5- Dannie Roussouw 6- Jerome Kaino 7- Sam Warburton 8- Mamuka Gorgodze 9- Kahn Foutili'i 10- Rhys Priestland (this is a tough one, no one has really stood out for mine). 11-...

2011 RWC - Pool C - Australia, Ireland, Italy, USA, Russia

It's somewhat of a shame that he plays for a side that continues to persist with negative football. If he played in a side that played in the style of the All Blacks or Wallabies, he would be the undisputed number one #8 on the planet. His skillset is amazing.

    RWC 2011 QF1: Ireland v Wales (W Pool C v RU Pool D)

Yeah as a whole, the Irish backrow should dominate. Apart from the South Africa Game Faletau has been very quiet. He needs to stand up as does Ryan Jones if they want to win that battle, they cannot rely on Warburton to do it all himself.

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Was thinking this after watching Warburton this afternoon, as a former openside, I am enjoying watching those blokes play. Fair to say McCaw is no longer the undisputed #7 many would believe.

2011 RWC - Pool C - Australia, Ireland, Italy, USA, Russia

Oh my apologies for speaking my mind LG, should I be carded for that? I'm not going to expand on why I dislike the Irish Rugby side, simply because I don't feel I need to have to defend myself. But I can guarentee you that it doesn't have anything to do with them beating Australia (because...

    RWC 2011 - Quarter final 3 : Springbokke v. Wallabies CLOSED

Pocock's definatly been playing better then Brussouw latley, but I agree with the rest of the Bok pack in better form then ours. Moore has been playing well, but BdP has been destroying opposition latley.

Not another "Four More Years Boys"

I agree sending an "A" side for a tour whilst the Wallabies are on their EOYT. It benefits us by developing our younger players internationally and obviously it benefits the lower tier sides as they are still playing quality opposition. One year play Canada and the USA then the next year play...
