    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

Especially with Berrick kicking so well!

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

Yes, brilliant attack (read acceleration), and solid defence with some great bootlace stuff in the second half! Another Digby?

    Aussie Baa Baa's Vs Canada

Spot on Tangawizi... most in the crowd (in the general seating areas at least) had only one drink all night! Crowd controllers had to "split" queues to the only bar and food outlet to allow patrons to get to their seats and the toilets! Unlike Suncorp Stadium, staff serving drinks are also the...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

biggsy, sadly the latest forecast is "showers increasing to rain"!...... But as we know, the folks at the BOM don't always get it right.

    Orders from Paddy O'B.

Thanks Thomond78, link worked fine for me. I wonder if a certain #7 will get to read it!

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

Thank you SAR.... By the way, I love exclamation marks, they're very expressive! At least my grammar is correct, in that I don't use one-word sentences, and I know when to use upper-case. Hopefully, my daughter who lives in Canada, won't pick up your bad habbits!

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

Hypothetically, (and out of left field)........... If the ARU was to tear up JOC (James O'Connor)'s contract, or he decided to spit the dummy, given that his parents are Kiwis and Grand Parents from SA, would he be subject to a "quarantine period" before he became eligible to play for either country?!!

    The wheels are falling off

Hello to you daz. If I was "being a knob", I would expect you to let me know! Am aware of "rule of engagement" and don't wish to emulate others on another current thread, who just can't 'let it go'!.... I am pleased to have been part of your 1,000th post, (although there appear to be at least...

    The wheels are falling off

Jnor, thanks for your thoughts. If daz identified those to whom his comments were directed, it would remove any likelyhood of confusion. Though we don't all agree with all the posts, those making them must retain the right to do so.... they will soon become aware that their views are unpopular...

    The wheels are falling off

Your didactic comments are not appreciated daz! ScepticalScotty and I were simply commenting on the fact that the sucess of a team representing a host-nation in a major sporting event depends, to a great extent, on "local" support. I also asked for comments from our NZ members, who may be able...

    The wheels are falling off

A surprising stat: in a recent online national survey, only 37% of Kiwis were "looking forward to the RWC"!! 29% were "neutral"....... is this as a result of the earthquakes, the slow start to the tourist (skiing) season, or their Carbon Tax?! Any suggestions from our Kiwi members?

The reason JOC (James O'Connor) was absent from the RWC squad announcement...

Methinks JOC (James O'Connor) will most likely run out on Friday night with all the other "sinners", (sorry, Baa Baas), thus maintaining his match fitness!

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

Slightly off topic but moving forward, with Deans, Williams, etc pre-occupied with the ABs Brisbane test on 27th, and the lead-up to the RWC, can anyone tell me who our coaching staff is for the Australian Barbarians v Canada match here on the Gold Coast on 26th?

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

Godfrey, as I said last week Quade Cooper can best be described as "brilliant, but erratic"! Now some of his knockers may agree! We have to take the bad with the good, but as to the suggestion that he should have been "rested"........ that was just dumb commentary.

What Quade should have been doing

Bullrush, it's an adaption of an Aussie bush-racing saying, where country trainers, when asked how one of their charges would go , often replied "we'll all have a better idea after the race"! it's called 'bush humour', and probably also exists in NZ!
  16. Mr Doug

What Quade should have been doing

No, not really, Bullrush, as I feel it's time for that "cycle" to be broken! Anyway, we'll all have a better idea after the RWC final.

    James O'Connor #12, Rob Horne #13?

Hey Groucho...speaking of big centres and Mungos, I turned up to watch the first grade match of my local rugby club here on the Gold Coast a few years ago and saw this bloody big #12 bursting through the opposing backline with ease! " Who the hell's that", I asked......to be told, "oh, that's...

What Quade should have been doing

Bullrush, you're probably right about the "big step up from Super Rugby to International Rugby". I guess that explains the Crusaders winning seven Super series and the Blues winning three, but the ABs winning nil RWCs since Super Rugby commenced in 1996!.......You must have seen that coming!!
  19. Mr Doug

What Quade should have been doing

Groucho, I am aware of Reds' logo at bottom of Beefcake's post (even if, like all the other koalas, it is facing the wrong way)!....Can only assume he didn't consult his guide-dog before contributing! Some "fans" can't accept imperfection in current players and expect 100/100 every time they...

What Quade should have been doing

Beefcake, Reds had Quade and Force didn't, so check the S15 results. You say Wallabies backline needs a street map to keep up with Quade, geeze mate is that his fault...I think not! You're wrong anyway, as Will, Digby, and Anthony seem to be able to read his play, and last time I looked they...
