This could have been rather awkward

Ah yes I remember Tonie Carroll, had three goes at gouging a young Cowboy's eyes a few years back, but as he was a 'protected spicies', (Origin Player), nothing was done! Now what part of Queensland did he come from......was it the North Island, or the South Island?!!

    Sonny Bill

You're all wrong...they're both going to Kick Boxing! BTW, will "Chief" Sonny Bill rank above "Sir" Richie in NZ society?!!

Best Facial Hair at the World Cup

Adam Kleeberger (Canada) wins by a whisker!!!

    Rugby Has Massive Problems !

Sadly, it's all about dollars......the rest of your comments, I totally agree with.

    2011 Spring Tour

Swarley, you asked if the Barbarians still need to have 'one uncapped international player'. After talking to a former-Wallaby relo recently, he thinks that's still the case. However, if the rule was changed to "one capped player, not of international standard", then your 'possible Barbarians...

    The Haka

Attention Gagger and Cyclopath...Isn't it nice to see that a thread that has contained so much vitriole, has morphed into a "love-in"?!!
  7. Mr Doug

    The Haka

Way to go Bullrush, I hope you are still "rooting for the All Blacks" at a similar age!!!
  8. Mr Doug

    The Haka

You beat me to it, Sully... hopefully, like my love for rugby, that will never change!
  9. Mr Doug

    The Haka

You at 15 are a 'senior member' and when I first joined aged 63, I was a 'junior member'....quirkey!!
  10. Mr Doug

    The Haka

You are right Gagger, however, as an "older rugby fan", that phrase also refers to the above mentioned "AB Challenge"! BTW, have you ever published the ages of our oldest and youngest members?

    The Haka

That's hardly a complement to those of us who try and create some balance here......would you rather this become BAWR...(Black and White Rugby)?

    The Haka

My final comment on The Haka: After respectfully listening to the Kiwi National Anthem sung in two languages, (as per the Saffas), and then the having to endure the modified, up-dated, modernised, (please show respect for), Haka, I'm ready to watch a footy match. I loved Eddie Jones' answer to...

RWC 11 Final and Bronze Playoff - Pick The Score

Ditto Hugh. Good work picking the score in the bronze final Mark. My club rugby was played in the reserve grade 2nd row, until an unfortunate lineout landing on the side of an ankle ended my career at age 30!

Same here, although I sense that they meant "This is an 'out of office/having fun elsewhere' autoreply"!!

    The Haka

My apologies teach. I also have now emailed the IRB with my concerns regarding the Haka!
  16. Mr Doug

    The Haka

Started work at 4am (Qld) today, so no time for cocoa or your post. Interesting comment, so have you written to the IRB to advise them of their folly?... No, I thought not...all piss and wind...again!
  17. Mr Doug

    The Haka

Interesting comment Slim, even at his stage in life, "Willo" is better looking than 'the least-attractive team' in word rugby!
  18. Mr Doug

    The Haka

Forever the "moderator" in my family, Mrs Doug has reminded me that we were "banned" from singing 'Waltzing Matilda' in 2003, however, copious hakas were permitted to be performed! And you guys wonder why I'm pissed off?!
  19. Mr Doug

    The Haka

As a 63.5 year old I have probably seen more Hakas than most of you. The first 20 were interesting, the next 30 were tedious, and the remainder hyave been BBBOOORRRIIINNNGGG!!! I respected the Haka until a BC match a few years ago whilst listening to two Kiwi commentaters on ABC Grandstand, we...

    GAGR RWC Tipping Comp

Isn't it nice to have some mature-age females on board, even if they have to go to Cambodia to get "business"!!!
