    Queensland Reds 2024

Has it ever been said previously that it's a rotating thing, or is that a new direction? I thought taking a couple of matches out of BNE, and the broader Reds to Regions program, was one of the best things the Reds were doing. He seemed a big advocate, but was Thorn properly driving it...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Thought this was a bit concerning in the Roar article - not the no criticism part, that's great and how it should be, but the justification around why the 'incorrect' decision was made. 8 minutes is a substantial amount of time to look at the available angles, and refer to the framework as...

    No Townsville

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Watching it again, George does push Basham significantly off his line, and also causes him to stumble and drop his height just before contact. I still think the wrong call has been made, but I can at least partially understand the decision. Good angle of it below:

    Australian Rugby / RA

I'm waiting for a journo to put exactly this to him... I wonder who could do so? Not sure any of the higher-profile ones, particularly Atko or Doran, would risk any RA contacts icing them out as a result

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Can probably say the same about his chances of another Wallabies appearance, period

Australia A - Back on the Cards

The purpose of the squad isn't just to provide coverage for the Wobs though - if they can take 5 back rowers, surely one of them can be a pure 8

The Wilson decision boggles the mind

Too many cooks in Eddie's kitchen for his liking maybe?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

So it would appear the points systems and Phil Waugh's dream of having a good number of Wallabies and Super players running out for clubs may be incongruous?

The Matildas' new facility at La Trobe opened last month with immediate success ;)

Centres pairings will be interesting next year, especially with a new coach. We're not exactly short of options with O'Connor, Paisami, Flook, Petaia, Henry, and Annan

Anyone got a read on him? As Wilson said, appears to have come across from NZ to Nudgee this year. Plays for Sunnybank too it seems

Surprised that's flown under the radar - good sleuthing lads. Could be a very good get for the Reds

    Wallabies 2023

With resounding Eddie's focus on fitness, you'd have to think the plan is to rest sparingly. As a team, they need minutes together

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

CTE is caused by repeated brain trauma, yes. The general idea is that if the traumas start at a younger age, their effects will present earlier. A quick google led me to a study which identified CTE in a 36yo who had a history of seizures and self-harm by way of repeatedly hitting his head...

Not sure how his shoulder is going, but Liam Wright could be in the mix (at either 6 or 7)
