    NRC Rnd 3 - Western Force v Melbourne Rising - UWA Sports Park - Sep 15 - 3PM (WST)

A NRC squad was announced pre-season which contained 14 of the Melbourne Rebels squad It did not include Meakes and Goddard. 11 of this group have been named in the team to play the Western Force. i.e. the 8 Forwards + Tupou, Sa'aga and Faulkner. The 3 missing are Cottrell, Hosea and Philip.

    NRC Rnd 3 - Western Force v Melbourne Rising - UWA Sports Park - Sep 15 - 3PM (WST)

Good looking squad. Pleasing to see Prior starting and Thrush off the bench. Strong inclusions of trial and local club rugby players. I reckon the WF are going for points boost. Interested to see how Iona goes at FH against his old team.

Fantastic to have this game at home. Can the Western Force make it 3 from 3?

    Western Force 2020

Excellent news about the re-signing of Jack McGregor. I hope we get to see what Jack has to offer at Fly Half in 2020. Jack's a great example of the benefits of maintaining a professional program in WA. He's proved himself at Full Back despite only ever having 1 previous game in that position...

NRC Rnd 2: Fijian Drua v Western Force

Excellent to see the Western Force win the first two game of NRC 2019. Very good effort to defeat last years finalists - including Fijian Drua in Fiji. The Drua won every game at Home last year. Should be able to make the win count 3/3 with this week's fixture against a poorly performing Rising...

NRC Rnd 2: Fijian Drua v Western Force

Agree, but the "current model" changes with the establishment of the Global Rapid Rugby competition in 2019 and growth therafter. This is certainly the case as there will be no Super Rugby as we know it beyond 2020.

Excellent article on Byron Ralston's move West from Brothers in Brisbane. https://www.westernforce.com.au/ralstonswhirlwindride/ Reads like he's being trialled in 2019 NRC. Looks a likely lad. . .

Andrew Deegan and Rodney Iona off to the Rebels. Iona was hoping for game time at #10. Going to be hard with him being followed by Deegan. Both good contributors for the Western Force. Go well - thanks for your efforts for the WF and local Perth club rugby.

    Western Force 2019

Harry Lloyd off to the Brumbies. Excellent young man who revelled in playing for the Western Force over the past 2 years. Especially benefited from the experienced front row and top level scrum coaching. Going back home. All the best Harry - thanks for your time in the West.

NRC Rnd 2: Fijian Drua v Western Force

Good continuity from the team from Round 1. Hoping for a cracker of a game in Suva. Enjoying the mix of players - esp the new young talent. Fantastic to see Henry Stowers, Chris Heiberg and Feliti Kaifu'u back in the mix...

NRC Rnd 1 Western Force v Qld Country

Don't read too much into the crowd. First weekend after the local club rugby final Fathers' Day weekend means many out of town for a weekend with Dad. No sense of Western Force fans being jaded. Forrest has already announced that GRR is happening in 2020 (just dotting Is and crossing Ts) The...

NRC Rnd 1 Western Force v Qld Country

Match report from the Western Force web site: The Western Force left it late but saved their best till last, scoring the final three tries of an enthralling battle against Queensland Country to win 50-49 at UWA Sports Park in their opening National Rugby Championship game. An incredible...

NRC Rnd 1 Western Force v Qld Country

Good to see some new blood in the mix as well as the players from Perth Club rugby. Two new recruits have been named to start in the Force’s first game of the 2019 National Rugby Championship on Saturday. After impressive performances against the Tongan ‘Ikale Tahi national team on the...
