Short answer… no. But I fail to see an issue here - Jones simply stated that we need to target the Bledisloe, as it’s the clearly the primary challenge in a tight schedule the Wallabies have prior to the RWC… And the Australian Super Rugby teams need to do consistently better against their NZ...

I wouldn't have expected Andy Farrell to make comments about a competition the Irish teams don't participate in, or regarding an annual trophy they don't compete for...

I don’t think we’re making any progress here, so I’ll just leave you with this… Was it a maul? Yes. Is a defender allowed to collapse a maul? No. Did HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) collapse the maul by bringing down the ball carrier? Yes Nothing new.

Aside from the law that clearly states…

He was fine as he came through the middle to attach himself to the ball carrier, but he was then penalised for collapsing by pulling the ball carrier down as the maul was ongoing. Had he not collapsed the maul, he would’ve most likely held up the ball carrier and then it would’ve been a goal...

Tate McDemott’s omission is shocking, but he also hasn’t been playing that well… Same with Lolesio, although he’s been in better form than Donaldson. I’m not at all surprised about Harry Wilson and Jake Gordon missing out. Vunivalu is very, very lucky… as is Uelese really as Mafi isn’t there.

They key thing is the Brumbies maul was still advancing forward, and it’s up to the Tahs defenders to stay on their feet… HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) pulls the ball carrier down, thus collapsing an active maul - penalty.

I mean, you are wrong and I would’ve assumed it was common knowledge that you can’t bring down the ball carrier when they’re still part of the maul, as stated in the laws…. Because it is effectively collapsing the maul. But off the top of my head I’m certain Neville was done for the same thing...

That’s bizarre, because this gets penalised all the time… He collapsed the maul, which is what he was pinged for.
