But that's the issue a lot of us have with Thorns appointment and then how QRU are bowing to his every demand. As a player, Brad achieved everything a person could want playing both Rugby Union and League. However, he's been, in my opinion, gifted coaching roles that he hasn't demonstrated...

Average age is 22.5 and 18 Super caps. You take Higgers out of the equation and it drops to 21.9 and 14 games

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

Kerevi is flying over to Japan today. I'd wager he'll be starting at 13 and Petaia will be on route to Europe via Fiji next weekend.

Brynley did a pretty fantastic job with the Firebirds. Think they went back to back premiers which from chatting to him came down to keeping the same starting squad of girls fit. From memory, he said they had the least amount of ACL injuries (I know that's an odd metric) across the Netball...

    Australian Rugby / RA

The Brumbies as a whole have a pretty good track record of keeping things close to their chest and not sharing with others. While I would generally agree with you that you should take what it said on face value, but when you consider the KPMG report and what is/isn't in there, I'd be inclined to...

I saw Sqwabba and Jim having breakfast this morning in Paddington. Paul looks fine, he's lost a lot weight and if I took a headshot pic after eating nothing but salad's I'd look cranky too!

    Australian Rugby / RA

Turinui on his podcast with a NZ journo was talking and comparing the NZ collaborative model to what Turinui saw as a player and during his time at the Rebels. He made some interesting observations regarding the first coaching summit and how it was a gigantic waste of time. Primarily because...

    Concussions and Protecting Our Players

For those interested in a pretty lengthy read, Ross Tucker is a Sports Scientist who's been working with World Rugby and gave a talk on how behavioral nudging can be used to reduce concussions in Rugby. He's broken his slides and put text around each slide explaining what they are trying to...

Brad's still pissed that 'earlier generation' beat him in the 2011 Grand Final. Christ, he even named Higgers and Slipper as Captains who were part of that squad along with CFS and Toua.

Quite frankly, I couldn't give two tosses about the interests of Australian rugby. What are the other states doing to bolster the fly half's? We've seen first hand how good a marquee player can be for the development of young players. Australian rugby would do better to get bums on seats so...

Tui confirmed yesterday that he's missing the Spring Tour and will be playing for the Reds next season. Hope the time away from the game helps the bloke overcome the horrible loss.

I wouldn't class any of those other than McMahon (Mike was made a Wallaby in the Reds colours) as 'blossoming'.

The Queensland Motherland applauds your selections Reg!

    Wallabies 2018 Spring Tour

IF the Smith Brothers are going to be eligible for selection come RWC, I'd be taking them onto the tour to get them used to the set up and let them carry pads etc

Really? I think this is the one area we're fine in. Rodda, Tui with Blyth and Hockings coming up. It's a shame we lost Douglas otherwise we would have had a really good mixture of experienced and up and coming.

Yeap, I had no idea who it could be and was able to work backwards. Turns out his rugby.com.au player profile has been removed but you're able to see who it was through Google Cache.

RC5: Springbokke vs Wallabies @ PE

I can't believe that in results driven environment that the ARU did not put some kind of winning KPI's in Chieka's contract. We've now won 2 out of the last 10 matches. What was the point of picking Hanigan if we still use one of the midgets at the front? When the Darkness used Richie, he was...

Ah the Rebels have certainly learnt from their counterparts at the Storm in navigating the salary cap restrictions.

Man, I've completely forgotten what reading good news and the Reds feels like. Fantastic to hear Jim's coming back, just need that defence sorted out and I'll breathe a bit easier!
