    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Yes I have been critical of bond/breakers before the breakers almost went belly up - that lifeline thrown by Bond really turned their fortunes around… I would prefer a brisbane centric competition with bond playing in the Gold Coast comp - but I was simply providing feedback as to why most ppl...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

yeah I’m gonna take the side of “take a good long look at yourself in the mirror” and say it’s not ideal to play a finals 90 minute car ride down the M1. like Phil pointed out… not too much concern for the players, they’ve worked all season to get to the big dance that a car ride is peanuts...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I am proud of my local rugby community… there’s only one club in Brisbane that has a link to pokie machines. feels good being able to sleep at night knowing my code is not causing broken homes from the very people who support their game.

Qld Reds v Fiji Drua Sun 19-3-23

Annan will be the first person to come off… unless he plays house down. Nothing I’ve seen in his limited minutes with reds so far suggest he’s going to have a breakout game… but good luck to the young man. He’s shown a bit of position versatility over at Easts before his switch to Souths

team list dropping today? Sunday kick off - I’m guessing delayed a day?

Qld Reds v Fiji Drua Sun 19-3-23

I am worried about all players going the full 80. Drua cardio and the style of game they play could be red flags if they can break the advantage line or put some nicely placed kicks behind the reds defensive line (towards the end of the game when reds players might be cramping).

Paying players is unsustainable. Some clubs can do it but across the comp payment, I can’t see some of those battler clubs opening up the dusty cobweb chequebooks. I think a 2nd super rugby team in qld or return of a NRC comp is the best way to keep players interested in QPR. the best thing...

they charge 5$ entry fee - going against the spirit of all the other local rugby community groups. Where are the funds going, new shipment of silver spoons?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

haha why is that hard to believe? always dishing unfounded dirt on wests - yet brothers suddenly has a moral compass about building a ethical roster? let’s not act like clubs don’t have some type of extra recruitment carrots to lure players - although those amounts seems unsustainable (like...

did other clubs raise fees? I’m sure rugby community is not immune to inflation etc

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Petaia was named for the bulldogs 2 seasons ago at fullback in what was going to be the greatest qpr lineup I’ve ever seen. It had Uelese, Leota, Horsea, Fa’amausili and a whole bunch of other rebels/reds - unfortunately there was a Covid scare in SEQLD and Rennie got all the wallabies on the...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

yeah I like Easts as a sleeper Smokey outside the top 4… seem to be going under the radar. all though I won’t be placing any bets (even on my dogs) do not want them getting the “SouthernX kiss of death” As for GPS… I remember Phil mentioning last year that The gallopers had no X factors in...

interesting you’ve selected Vunivalu on one of the wings when I feel like Daugunu has been the better option on the sting thru 3 weeks

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

how about signing up to ladbrokes and having a punt? it’s been a long time since a QPR team has gone back to back… Wests will certainly have a target on its back. who do you like for the hospital cup @MoneyBill685

    Reds 2023

I think Petaia is the more talented option at fullback but I trust Campbell to put in a more stable 80 mins performance. which fullback do you want on at the 60th minute mark when reds are tiring & the livewire drua play that unstructured football around that time of game. Campbell seems...

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Petaia stays at fullback… what’s that mean for Jock? Another week off the bench. I don’t expect Vunivalu coming off the bench against Drua… lot of Fijian fans will be in attendance. Think for that reason he may get another week in starting lineup.

    SR2023 R3 - Rebels vs Waratahs Friday 10 March @ 7.35pm

I think the physicality of club rugby is better preparation for what to expect at super rugby… I think u20 rugby is a faster pace with better skills but you’re going up against teenagers who haven’t really yet filled out in the weight room.

    SR2023 R3 - Rebels vs Waratahs Friday 10 March @ 7.35pm

Carter didn’t have a regular pathway to where he is… most super rugby/wallaby prospects end up playing or being involved with the u20 team. that was not the case with Carter Gordon, he was either snubbed for prospects like Ben Donaldson, Will Harrison or Covid cancelled his other aus u20...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

I believe norths are short a team this season (no 4th grade) so prems/reserve grade split a half each against norths prems norths reserves played wests 3rds norths 3rd played wests 4ths/5ths it was something along those lines but I did not make it out to Shaw road so unsure if that was how...
