Aus vs NZ - 1st Test Sydney 17Aug2013

Another tactic we will see is the inside ball off Cooper. The one we have seen Digby take so often. I look forward to seeing Izzy take it. I think it can be very potent if done well. Anae is baffling. I know for the third hooker but I would say Tessman was more deserving. He had a good...

We have got to get the All Blacks to commit numbers to the breakdown. They always do a great job at avoiding this and allow Reid and McCaw to roam wider in both attack and defense. It is how they are able to put opposition under so much pressure. We need to man up physically and I think we...

Agree with you completely fatprop. One problem I have found though is with these new tighter jersey's it is somewhat harder to get your bind back after giving the signal. It was never a problem with the looser traditional jerseys.

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

Phipps gets a rough ride on this forum and is nowhere near as bad as he is made out to be. I look forward to seeing him at the Tahs next year. Ben Mowen copped a lot of crap about how he is not test quality over the last few years. We know how that is turning out. Mogg has copped this crap...

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

It is a big problem with Australian rugby fans and very much alive on this forum that a player can be deemed the greatest thing since sliced bread or not up to international standard without being tested before making such an assumption.

Fair enough Muttonbird. That point makes sense. That is a damn good pickup for the Chiefs though. Good move for him to get away from that schoolboy team with their schoolboy coach. :D

Kuindrani Might be a bolter for a wing spot if JOC (James O'Connor) is the prefered FB. He won't unseat AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 13 but I can see Link wanting his powerful running. I will put this out there as a potential Wallaby backline. 9/ Genia 10/ Quade 11/ Folou 12/ Lilo 13/ AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 14/ Kuindrani 15/ JOC (James O'Connor) A debate weather...

What is the story with Jamie McIntosh? Is it injury or has he fallen out of favour for other reasons. I know he hasn't seen a lot of game time this year but he has been off the radar for a few years. Anyone know what is the deal?

Stuff him. Put him out to pasture if nobody want's him.

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

Regarding Nick White, didn't he look like he had a problem physically during the warm up? What effect did this have on his performance? I don't think this is a simple case of "he cracked under the pressure". I think given the travel the Brumbies have gone through it is a bit rich to pass...

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

I think it was all a very well thought out tactic based on patience. They ran them around in the first half to take the legs out of them knowing in the second half they could get easy meters over the advantage line by gong more direct. It worked a treat.

2013 Super Rugby Final - CHIEFS v BRUMBIES

Congratulations Chiefs. Quality side and well deserved. Commiserations Brumbies fans. This may be a bit empty but shit your boys turned it on. That would have to be one of the proudest displays from a rugby team I've seen and they gave it all and them some. I am sure any genuine rugby fan...

    Lack of manners/respect

In the professional context, you still respect his authority. It doesn't mean you can't question it it just means their are acceptable ways of doing it.

    The End of Super Rugby

I don't believe in expanding super rugby to accomodate SARU's mess. The next expansion of super rugby has to be the addition of an entire conference that extends the game across the entire southern hemisphere. We are not ready yet but it needs to include Argentina, USA, Canada, Japan and the...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Taking from the squad we have, here is a potential in house trial. The players left over form the bench that the coaches can tap into both sides. 1/ Benn Robinson 2/ Stephen Moore 3/ James Slipper 4/ Rob Simmons 5/ James Horwill 6/ Hugh McMeniman 7/ Liam Gill 8/ Ben Mowen 9/ Will Genia 10/...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Thinking further down the track, Higgers I think will have a firm grip on it. Looking toward this RC I think Kimlin won't get it and it will come down to Fardy or MMM. Both very good players in their own right and MMM I think is slightly more physical though I see Fardy is being more mobile...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

Cooper will be picked and will be involved in any leadership group that may be formed. Link is more likely going to embrace his intellectual property in forming how we play the game. I think it will be something Link does with his playing group in general. Link will have the final say but I...

    Non-partisan views

I don't think Harris should be there. I don't think CFS should be there I think Fardy is a good selection though feel a little sorry for Sam Carter who I rate highly. I think Pyle is a good selection. I think Bethem is a good selection and shows some boldness. I think Kuindrani is a good...

Wallabies Squad - the Link Era

I would greatly love for Fainga'a to be at 12. A lot of traffic will be coming through that channel in this first Bledisloe and he is the bloke to defend it. Not at the expense of Lilo who I see as a genuine attacking asset and it would be counter productive to burn him out in defense. Lilo...

    Western Force 2014

Don't hit the like button. He is there because nobody wants him. He is likely to have a bug up his arse about this which brings into question his commitment to team and club. This won't end well for the Force me thinks.
