All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

In fairness to Joubert, that maul was a split second thing that it started going forward after he made the call to use it. It had clearly ceased momentum when he made his call. Got to blame the Wallabies for not clearing it as they were instructed. In real time I think Joubert made the right...

Speaking of the Highlanders, I like the look of Colten as an up and coming hooker. Hika Elliot fell out of favor quick.

I would like to see Betham retained. The bloke had a fair debut and deserves another shot. Show the faith in him rather than dropping him after debut.

I fully agree with you Dan. I believe in hard rugby but it also comes with the traditional rugby ethos I think we all love. That picture highlights a big part of that in my view. The rival between Australia and NZ has always been intense but good spirited. Sadly over the last few years it...

    Sonny Bill

I don't understand why the NZRU would entertain the idea of having him back. Just leave him to wonder around being a nomadic mercenary, close the door on him and focus on the products they have in their systems. Quite bluntly they don't need him. Just say he doesn't show the commitment to NZ...

Turner is more in the Peter Hynes mould. It's good to have these types of players involved. CFS strikes me as having the Digby mould so there is some scope for replication. The player that will be hard to replace is Samo. Sure he slowed down but the impact he can have on a game is rare.

I don't agree. Nothing wrong with spreading out responsibility amongst the playing group. That is how the coach sees it and it is how the coach managed the same player at the Reds. The player who was developed into a lineout caller is frequently in the starting 15 partnering him at lock...

That All Black side has some bloody fine players in it. Some draw a lot of attention and some are generally very underated. Sam Whitelock is currently the best lock in world rugby at the moment in my view. Forget Romano because the combination he has formed with Retallick is bloody well...

The conundrum over James Horwill's form slump has a few angles to it. The captaincy issue is that he is a follow me into battle type leader but his current form isn't reflecting that but when he is in form, it works well. Who replaces him? The only other viable choice that can be considered on...

Horwill is well and truly out of form. The consensus of that view is compelling but to claim he is useless is talking crap. Actually the bloke has a reputation for setting a consistent high standard so when he finally hits a form slump like all players do, it will look bad. Kev will bounce...

    G&GR MOTM - NZL v AUS, Oct 19th 2013

3/ Cooper 2/ Simmons 1/ Moore HM - Fainga'a (who seems to have hit that mark of maturity you get as a front rower ages) and Kepu who I thought added plenty of energy from the bench. Another generally good team performance.

Plenty of room for improvement but in my heart I can say that was a Wallaby performance to be proud of. Cooper for man of the match in my view. He did a mixed bag of some really good stuff. It was a complete and mature performance and both he and To'omua look settled together. Cooper had...

Surely you can't be implying he's was the only one against Samoa that sucked. Tamani also sucked and he is the 22. Shit, even Nathan Sharpe sucked that day but that hasn't been held over his head so why inconstant with Davies? The two mentioned were in the engine room so what chance did a...

Anybody else get phone bombed by James Horwill the other night about renewing memberships. Big Kev must have been excited because shit, I couldn't get a word in to tell him about what membership I wanted. :)

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

The key for us in this game was we stamped our mark on it early and it allowed us to play the way we wanted. It was great to see us coherent. What I liked about our backs was the balance. We have some decent ball runners in Tomane, Izzy, Kuindrani, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and a 10 with a good passing game...

You are right and the choice of words was wrong, though the meaning of the post stands and it is stronger than the language used in the post.

Genia and Cooper are back. You friggin' beauty. Saia was bloody good also. Some of the haters might want to man up and give credit where credit is due. Set piece work was fine and every bit as good as Moore before him. Alexander should be given credit also and only fair the haters also man...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Argies were crap because of how the Wallabies played. Dave Beat is 100% correct in saying the turning point was when AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was forced to pack at flanker. We stood up just enough to take the required sting out of their scrum and not make it the absolute weapon they wanted. We imposed our will...

    Jake White Quits Brumbies

Was that a cyber handbag you threw? I appreciate the interest you are showing in the Reds but a little buggered as to why it has anything to do with this thread. On the matter of appointing the new coach, I don't get the delay and it doesn't bode well for the Brumbies. As mentioned...

    Pumas v Wallabies, Rosario, 5th October 2013

Wallabies look set to play a fast paced style. Not saying it will work but we need to get stuck in early and dictate the terms of the game. The Argies just grow in confidence if it is tight. Our inferior scrum just can't technically match the Argies so the intent from the Wallabies I think...
