He would be very good for qld in replacing SK. Not sure what Thorn will make of him. He could easily play 10,12 and 15 in Super rugby.

Dempsey, Hanigan, Jones and Valetini also cover 6 and 8 as well as bringing a bit more size and lineout ability. We don’t need to revert to the midget backrow model of past years. We can actually put out a big bruising well balanced back row for the first time in a while. Samu is a very similar...

Hanigan has looked pretty good this year. I’d guess he would be picked ahead of Dempsey right now and rightly so.

Genia will be the starting 9 and they will include White. Powell to be the number 3 but maybe work himself into the 23 prior to the RWC. He has been around the group for a while. Beale will be there as will Foley. LILO a safer option than Cooper and To'omua a good utility. Surely Fainga will get...

Latu has a hot head and is prone to the cheap shot when opportunity knocks. He is good in the scrum and over the ball but not sure he is worth the risk. Yellow cards will be a big no no at the RWC.

Well, the first signs of them from the honourable side

    The Israel Folau saga

The best chance Folau and his team have of making any way is to muddy the waters as much as possible. It’s more likely that the leak came from them.

    The Israel Folau saga

Let’s face it, he has proven himself to not be a man of his word throughout this process. I doubt that he can expect much from this point on.

I hope they have more than that.

    The Israel Folau saga

No one has denied him or the other christians or any of the players their basic rights. RA would have to be pretty stupid to single out arguably their best player and sabotage their relationship with him. RA and the ARU before them have been pretty terrible at times but not even they could be...

    The Israel Folau saga

They will argue that Folau has been fired because of his religious beliefs. In turn RA will maintain that this has never been about religion and that his contract was terminated because he repeatedly broke the code of conduct and received warnings for the same. They will also throw in that many...

I have seen him play 3-4 games and he has been excellent in every one. The young QLD half has great potential but might be a little under cooked for this year. Having Nic Whites experience and composure, not to mention his kicking game, will be another cog in the wheel for the Wallabies. He can...

Yes and no. KB (Kurtley Beale) came back a much more well rounded player. He may have dropped off in certain areas since but initially his defence and decision making was very good. Nic White is unquestionably playing his best rugby. Others have not always been great on their return. That may say more about the...

He has been involved in the camps so he is on Cheikas radar. If he stays fit he will most likely get a chance to stake his claim in the RC.

Neither of them have a single cap to know how they would go. Both are on the small side for test hookers, as is FF (Folau Fainga'a). JL handled himself very well on the test paddock. He belongs. If he’s fit I would have FF (Folau Fainga'a), TPN and Uelese and I reckon Cheika will do the same.

Agreed. Yes Rangi and Roach have been going well but neither offer what Uelese can at test level. His legs need running.

Uelese left out of the Rebs 23 this week. What gives?
  19. Joe Blow

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

No. His lineout work is still not up to scratch. We need a strong lineout and now have it available both starting and finishing. Arnold offers much more as a finisher as does LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and Phillip.

He has been a great servant to world rugby and deserves a crack at this RWC. Still a lot of life left in him and it will be interesting to see which direction he goes. Could be a real ace up Cheikas sleeve come the knockout stages. Legend.
