Lake Mac story on their victory over Wanderers in Premier 1: http://www.theherald.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-union/roos-leap-over-two-blues-into-playoffs/2654958.aspx Wanderers (& my pick as winner for 2012) are now out. Word on the street is not many were turning up for training...

THE BIG WRITE UP: WOMENS SEMI FINALS GAMES POST GAME WASH UP (Games from 25th/AUG/12)/+ PREVIEW OF ELIMINATION FINAL NEXT WEEK Uni v Wanderers: My team Uni went into this game with 1 winger on the bench, less than we thought we'd have. Both back line & forward pack had to reshuffle. I was at...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

Most on here have covered a lot of what I think about this game which can be summarised by this - A couple of things: Timani played really well, very happy for him. Hooper was not overawed - played well, good signs there. Despite a couple of mistakes I thought AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) did do some very good...

Was playing a semi final myself while the game was on. Been reading through the comments...........not real sure I want to see the replay, but here goes.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

I can give you one of the most confusing themes of all time. Forget where they were playing but Sevens Rugby - the NZ side running out to ACDC's Back in Black. And they have the hide to get shitted off over crowded house FFS ;) On the TPN v Moore issue. I'd like to see Moore have a start to...

Latest Rugby Mag: http://www.portprint.com.au/rugbynewsissue18/ An important note is that the men's Premier grades Grand finals (whether the are at No.1 or No.2 in Cooks Hill) will be purchased through Proticket to avoid the massive congestion that occurs Grand final day. The aim is to get...

    Rugby TV Shows

Clyde is right. Who worries about their legacy or good reputation from the past when the hunger still burns to play the game you love? I can imagine what it would be like sitting there, watching time go by, while others are still playing at an older age & you're there wondering "what if?". Then...

F**k sake Fox work it out I want to hear from Clyde!

I'm agreeing a fair bit with Kearns tonight on The Rugby Club. Particularly about the standard of training, obviously not high enough & needs to improve. ABs fitness clearly > ours, among other things.

On TUESDAY I could really feel spring in the air! And here we know what that means - it's getting into the finals time of year! Different to any other part of the year & should be embraced as such! Lake Mac still in it in premier 1. Must beat Wanderers. Here is a good story on 29 yr old Junior...

How Did That All Blacks 1st Phase Move Work?

Nice to see this given extra attention Scott. I'm going to try & convince my coach to get my own teams' back line to try it. Great move.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

I agree. I think a team needs more than just aggro but we do have a distinct lack of it. I'd extend this further. Players having a laugh with the opposition after having a shocker (i.e. Kurtley laughing it up with SBW) infuriates the hell out of me. I've seen club players care more about...

    What Do Aussies Think?

'Like' this times a million. Lots of public & small denominational private schools like Catholic, Anglican, etc have kids that would prefer a system favouring club rugby. Many juniors outside of Sydney would rather eat rat poison then go to a boarding school, others will say it is their loss, it...

    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

The saving grace about Bismarck is that 60% of fantasy players had him so over 1/2 the people playing got screwed over. It would have been different if he wasn't such a popular pick. Wish I had of picked Kevin now! Points aside it is really sad to see Bismarck wiped out of the Championship...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

I know he has already played the Scots & Wales coming off the bench but his first game starting will be against the ABs & at Eden Park of all places. Talk about baptism of fire! Have a blinder young Hooper.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 South Africa vs Argentina - 18 August

Despite the scoreline I think for a first hit out the Argies have not disgraced themselves. They actually looked better in attack then we did earlier tonight IMO. Boks did very well after losing Bismarck, will be very interesting to see them play the ABs. That's me for the night, or early morning.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 South Africa vs Argentina - 18 August

The 35yr Old Argie Prop Roncero is a very good scrummager, shame his mate on the other side brought that last one down. Boks are in with Habana. It was only a matter of time. Come on Argies bring the score back down.
