Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Eddie Jones, the great polariser! Is this the guy that won a Super Rugby championship with the Brumbies, took the walllabies to a WC final, got Japan up to their greatest victory of all times and beat South Africa, and took England to a 6N championship? Or is it the guy who took over a Wallaby side...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

Have to agree with Gagger re Horwitz & Lucas. While Horwitz is young, in his first season of Super Rugby and does some good things and could possibly develope, Lucas has been around for a few years now and just doesn't seem up to it. Might be worth having a look at Jake Gordon off the bench, I hate the...

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

Wow, I didn't see that coming, best performance by the Tahs since 2014. Interesting game by Phipps, two bad mistakes in the first ten, then just outstanding after that. Scrum dominated, Izzy absolutely devastating, Foley in control. We live for another week!

Well, to quote the late Doc Neeson, 'This is it fellas, we're going over the top'!

    Waratahs v Chiefs - Round 14 - Friday 27 May 2016

I assume Holloway is injured. Is it the shoulder again? If so, was he back a week early? A few changes in the backs, Horne to 12 will certainly harden up the defence in there, so hopefully we won't see the debacle of the first 10 minutes against the Saders. Happy to see Guildford back, not so...

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

I really don't know what happened to the tahs d in the first 10 minutes, but there were holes you could drive a truck through. It just seemed no-one knew where they were meant to be or what they were meant to do. To put a positive spin on a bad night, for the next 68 minutes it was 2 tries each...

Karma Police, take out To'omua, Kerevi, Beale and Tomane, all injured, then start again. You'll se why we are coming up with some of the names that have been bandied about

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

I think it's fair to see that if the Tahs were to win this (and no, I don't expect them to) they are genuine contenders. The loss of Beale is a huge blow imo, while I think Horwitz is fine, and would be an able replacement for most 12's in the country, Beale in the form he was in is the most...

Douglas, Beale, Tomane, Vaea, Shipperly, Kerevi, To'omua, Lance, Hegarty, starting to look like a pretty fair side in team rehab!

We could do worse than Crawford on a wing, you know. Phipps, Foley, Lilo, TK, Horne, Tomane (or, if not fit, Crawford), Izzy, Res Frisby, Harris, DHP

I think Lilo now has to be 12 based on the Bradbury rule. Back-up 10 is a massive problem, best idea I can come up with is Harris. I think back-up 9 is also a bit of a problem, Stirzacker has a reasonable pass, but is way out of form, only gets to every second ruck, is offering zero attacking...

    Waratahs v Bulls, Round 12, 14 May 2016

On the Phipps Try, the original tackler didn't ever have him held, the second man in was in contact for a short period, and then rolled off. No-one was in contact with Phipps when he got up and made the second effort for the try. The question is, was the second defender in contact long enough...

What you say is right, BR, however I think Cheika will be mindful of how Ben McM stepped up when it came to the big stage, ie the WC, where in those last few games he was outstanding. There are those players at all levels, as you no doubt know, who play their best on the big occasion. Ma'a Nonu...

    Waratahs v Bulls, Round 12, 14 May 2016

I know it's a cliche, but when you look at the games ahead of us this one's a 'must-win'. It's hard to imagine we'll beat all of the 'Saders, Chiefs and 'Canes, so I think we need to put this one in the bank if we want to top the Aus conference.

Lindommer, Agree wholeheartedly, add Holloway to your list!

The 'hard' lock we need is Douglas, but unfortunately right now we can't have him. That's why I like Timani, I think he's the closest we've got to that at the moment.

    The Wallabies Thread

You may be right about Timani, but I don't know why. He's got more go-forward than any other lock in Aus right now, his hands have improved dramatically, and they're starting to us him in the lineout. My mistake re Ala'alatoa, Mike was the THP. What ideas do you have for a back-up THP, because...

If we were looking at form as it is right now, I think we'd see Slipper start at LHP and Sio on the bench, but that can change. The second lock after Simmons is a tough one, for mine it would be Timani, I don't think any of the others are demanding to be selected. Phipps will be 9, and at this...
