Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

I'm drunk by 6am for some of these games - maybe it's time to have a chat with your brood about priorities in life?

    Reds 2015

I can see why they chose him to be a backup for Quadey, he's got the feet and an absolute bullet of a pass.

    Reds 2015

He was damn close and the best defensive 10 in this year's comp before his injury, 7 is pretty much his calling you could say.

On current/recent for I'd honestly start Frisby over Genia if the Reds were playing tomorrow. He's shown a lot in the NRC, still has the occasional brain explosion but so does Genia and Frisby has been creating a lot for the City side.

Recording and even lightly assessing all of Taf's throws over his Wallaby career is easily a 50+ (if not far more) hours project. Fuck, it would take at least 15-20 hours just to compile all the games and that would be if you had a perfect library to start with. It was a laughable idea from...

Shit, I'd like to see an Argie drafted in so there's someone to make sure the tight five are eating steak with every meal.

It shouldn't matter what pack he's behind now, mate - he's better than Dan Carter.

Mack is a really, really good player. More than anything his composure at his age stood out to me (would have been a little over a year ago that I met him at Churchie).

    Aussie Player Exodus

Also, just for the record - Australia had 65% more senior male players than Ireland as of the last time those figures were assessed anywhere I can find (it was around the last RWC - hopefully IRB will release new figures this coming year). While Ireland does have more players at all age groups...

Don't you have to be match-fit in the first place in order to lose match fitness?

    The League Media

http://www.nfl.com/redzone I'm not even kidding, myself and plenty of other people I know would not watch nearly as much NFL without Redzone.

Which is surprising even for League because he's 15! Literally a baby still.

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

Beale is running up higher turnover tallies in single games than Cooper did on the entire NH tour. Obviously taking into account that Beale played the ABs but even then, Cooper turned over the ball once in his last start against them to Beale's 3+. Cooper was leading tackle efficiency for all...

Someone put a fucking rocket up Kepu's ass before this match. He had me out of my chair with the way he was throwing his weight around at some of the breakdowns.

Yeah, it's definitely a page in Link's playbook based on the Reds v. Lions test last year. Has to be done in a commanding fashion like Frisby/Quade handled it in that match in order to make it work properly though. Even a glance at the captain and the chance is likely long gone.

As Qwerty already mentioned, if you're asking permission for a quick tap..it's no longer quick. Would defeat the entire purpose and there is no reason that we should un-empower our halves from making decisions. The captain is far from the only player who gets to call shots on a rugby field.

If Burgess makes a fist of rugby he may push Leeroy out of the 8 jersey. Far from convinced this will happen, though. Pretty sure Bath has Houston under contract for at least the next year and I've also heard he's happy there. He's been playing well too, exactly the type of player we could use...

    Waratahs 2015

Why is it suddenly weird and somehow a bad thing that a Super Rugby franchise has recruited a talented young player into their Wider Training group? This happens every single year. The notion that people who do professional sports scouting for a living are telling their franchise to throw a 5-figure...

Horwill is disproportional? This is news to me. He's always had skinnier legs, even before his injury. Do you think it's more likely a result of genetics or a failure in every S&C program he's ever been a part of? The core strength comment...he gets on fine at scrum time and steals more ball...

Could we just arrange for him to eat JJ or something? Problem solved.
