Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

Yeah the AFL never fill it. I am a Pies fan and have no interest in going if it’s not at the G

And the part of Qld can add 10k seats. With the mom tied up in the Olympics and the knockdown rebuild of the Gabba where will the money come from? Was Suncorp built to be expanded or will that have to be a complete knock down?

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

Mate 5 years ago there was 1 local Rebel now 40% of the squad is local. The game is growing at a junior level here but apparently facing issues at a senior level. I do agree but, I love seeing the Wallabies play in Perth. They are Australia’s team and no city should have a monopoly on them...

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

I think it is also important to get some games at Adelaide oval. We need to use these events to grow Rugby across Australia.

I think also with the push for a MCG final we could look to potentially form a strategic partnership with the MCC they currently support 15 different sports. The MCC currently has 130k members with almost double that on the wait list. As a wait list candidate I always get emails telling me what...

It’s amazing that...

Also people from all around the world will be coming to the final. You want it in a prime venue.

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

Docklands is a dump. It’s small it’s cramped, so many bottle necks trying to get in and out. Parking is three times the price of the MCG and to fill it there are so many areas that are restricted viewing.

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

So we had games played at a shit venue, without Aus and we were roughly at 80% capacity.

Australian Bid for 2027 World Cup

Lol Perth got 60k the G has hosted 3 Bledisloe Cup games and got 90k 80k and about 75k. It is by being means a crack at them I loved the bledisloe in Perth and hope to see it return there more regularly. We need to look to maximise the revenue and grow the game Sydney does not achieve that. If...

    Wallabies 2023

But isn’t that always the way? Your biggest growth areas aren’t going to be where you are traditionally strong

But it does mean they can attract and maintain better athletes. But just as I typed that I realised they are poor in comparison to the FA

Edmed was playing shield I get he was young and I get a lot of them where playing SS on Tahs contracts. I just feel as watching from a far the SS has been getting stronger and stronger over the past few years and at some point that will translate into the Tahs. I am willing to accept I could be...

Look it’s true a bit like money can’t buy you happiness but it can sure help you succeed and help you be happy.

    Proposed Nations Championship

The issue is you need equalisation to grow the game but the rich never want to sign up to it. If all the rugby championship nations had more to invest into their domestic markets the standard would improve (granted NZ and SA go okay in that regard) and the game would grow its fan base and engage...

    Wallabies 2023

It is a hard decision, do you go somewhere to shore up support of the game or do you go somewhere to attract new supporters. Either choice is valid and each has its pros and cons

But we aren’t the Tahs, I think part of DC’s success is his experience in Shute Shield. The Tahs have a massive resource in that comp that we could only dream of. DC wanted to reconnect the Tahs to the Shute Shield. I am not necessarily disagreeing with you by the way, I just think we should...
