The other option is to give Mike H the Captaincy for the final year of his contract, after which I'd assume he'll head overseas unless he ends up back in the Wallabies frame. Mike is experienced, cool headed, respected by the group and will start if fit. I just don't think it hurts to make...

Higgers 37 L/O takes for the year, Sean 29 (in 1 less match, and with less avg game time per match). I would put them on par as 2nd lineout options behind Jonesy. Colby was the third option for the duration of the Rising season, and performed very well. Those saying he might not play very...

At the risk of coming across as an idiot, can you please educate me on which international competitions are broadcast on Eurosport/FOX? Is it simply Top 14, Top League (playoffs only) & some Heineken Cup? English Premiership ever broadcast?

Captain for me should be Colby. Off contract at the end of the season, but a truly undervalued player in aus Rugby - would give him a great reason to stay in Aus. A great fetcher, learnt as he led in the NRC and also provides some clarity/consistency around who is going to start in the back row...

    Aussie Player Exodus

This year, the Wallabies brought back Mumm & Douglas, and took Arnold & Coleman into Wallabies' extended camp, ahead of Jones, despite him coming off his best ever Super Rugby season. If I were him, I'd move overseas

Also, these two from Cam Inniss (https://www.facebook.com/caminnissphotography?fref=ts) capture the human element very well. First one is former Rebels teammates Jordy Reid & Scott Higginbotham post-game, Round Two Melbourne Rising vs. Brisbane City at Harlequin Rugby Club, Melbourne. The...

I love these two from Darcy Tuppen (https://www.facebook.com/darcytuppenimagery?fref=ts): Round Two Melbourne Rising vs. Brisbane City at Harlequin Rugby Club, Melbourne The first shows debutant Filipe Vilitati, who moved to Australia from Fiji with Island Breeze Rugby Plus (same program...

    Ideas for NRC 2015

Colby Fainga'a and Ben Meehan stiff... And even Lloyd Johansson playing 76 minutes at flyhalf, first time as a playmaker at anywhere near this level in about 5 years!

The length of the field is too short - the in-goal would have to be drop in astro turf. Was deemed too dangerous

    NRC Crowd Watch

The cost of playing at AAMI Park was unsustainable. It wasn't a realistic option, as the Melbourne Rising remain owned by the VRU (were not part of the takeover of Rebels by Imperium). Closer to 1000 yesterday if you include comp tickets, and definitely didn't average 2k at AAMI last year...

    Rebels 2014

Incorrect. If they make their international debut for another country when they are already signed as Australians, then they are still classified as Aussies for contract purposes and can stay as long as they like
