Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

But can't you see..... either Higgers or McMenniman when fully fit would probably put Fardy out of the pack. What's this man love thing you have with Fardy?

I actually think it will be Fardy & Higgers fighting it out for the No 6 jersey, with Mowen on the pine.;)

But don't you see. you are comparing our players actions to each other, which is not really a good look. We should be comparing them to our past forwards, and other 1st ranked international sides. Only then do you get a true picture of how good/poor they play.

So cutting to the chase, our loose forwards are really not very good at an international level. Fardy is probably just acceptable, and I don't mean to sound vextacious, but if you really are critical, he is probably just average for a number 6 on the stage of first tier number 6's. He does what...

    USA and Canadian Rugby

What the ARU should do at the same time as the Wallaby Spring Tour next year is organize an Australia A squad to play Japan, Canada, and USA with possibly an extra game or two included in the itinery. It would certainly be an incentive to players in Australia to have an international tour of...

Whoops, my bad, but you get my drift (really gotta quit that rum)

I don't see TPN coming into the squad, and then the bench, until we play the Italians. He doesn't have any match fitness, and the England game is too important to be bringing back TPN after a long break. Even when he is up there, he's gong to have to prove himself against the two incumbent...

Indeed that says a lot for Palu, as ajudged by his fellow players, who see a lot more than us couch huggers when it comes to the rucks and mauls etc.

I thought he was a 7 in a 7's body. I've just gotta cut down on the rum.

I see Higgers taking the NO 8 position as his own come 2015. He's big, fast and has the nous to know where to be. As he's becoming more experienced and tougher, he can only improve at taking the ball up. At No 7 I compare Pocock to George Smith. Both on their day are exceptional and as good as...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

I notice Horwell was replaced mid second half in both the more recent Argy & AB games. In the past, both with the Reds and with the Wobs, he was the last person to be subbed by The Boss (I prefer to think of him as that rather than Link; when he says jump, the boys ask 'how high'). To me. this...

    Reds 2014

Add some rum to it & you'll be surprised how suddenly the Reds 2014 prospects look really good! (until the next morning). It will certainly be a litmus year for Graham.

It might be for this reason that Link put Slipper across to tight head for a short time when Robo came on to loose head in this last test. A brief experiment possibly for things to come. Velly, velly intelestingo_O

All Blacks v Wallabies, Dunedin, 19th October 2013

I dare say you probably said the same thing about QC (Quade Cooper) a year ago. If the ARU had of, then the best individual Wallaby on the field would be playing either overseas or League. If the player wants to repent and is prepared to take his medicine, then when that period is up, welcome him back with...

Could Horwill be carrying a niggle which is causing him to back off a bit? Just the merest drop in intensity from a forward is highlighted at this level.

Didn't the Waratahs concentrate on that for their forwards last year (2012), and admitted later that it affected their aerobic ability to get around the field by overdoing the muscle building.

As did indeed his Assistant Referees. Don't they realize they are more than linesmen?

Dan54, I think where the excitement lies, is that this team is on an improvement path. What we the fans do or say is probably fairly irrelevant to how the squad sees itself. What I particularly enjoyed was how the Wallabies gave it everything (as did indeed the AB's) after the final hooter...

I think when JOC (James O'Connor) learns team ethics that he will replace them all. He has the x-factor.
