Brumbies vs Hurricanes Round 1 2016

Whoop whoop. Well done Brumbies. Smashing. But don't wear yourselves out. Play another one like that and then give your fellas a rest for Round 3.

    Sunwolves v Lions Rnd 1 2016

I'd be surprised if both the Sunwolves and the Kings don't get towelled by 30+.

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

We have fairly decent props. I'd trade him for having Nick Jooste back from the ACT or Jayden Ngamanu back from QLD.

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

WA U20s side to face the Rebels U20s: Couple of these guys might come into Aus U20 consideration. We should have a fairly strong front row, back row and scrumhalf. Don't know many of the others too well. 1.Tristan Schneider 2.Terrell Shortland-Berryman 3. Tom Sheminant 4. Hendricus Van Der...

2016 Under-20 Rugby World Championships - Manchester UK

Harry Hockings related to Tom Hockings?

Brumbies vs Hurricanes Round 1 2016

Maybe the backrow is also their weakness. Blade Thomson is more of a backrower than a lock. Play a tight game and attack the fringes with pick and drives. The Brumbies should dominate the scrums and probably the line-outs with Coles out. Don't kick away possession. The Hurricanes look shit hot...

Force vs Rebels Round 1, 2016

Pilfering the ball or slowing the ball to either win possession or reduce the quality of opposition possession. McMahon is average at this at best (Thomson is much better than average at this for a 6/8 so maybe it balances out). Hodgson does this very well. Not in the league of Pocock, but at...

Force vs Rebels Round 1, 2016

In the key role of a 7, Hodgson is better than McMahon. Underestimate him at your own risk. Without McCalman, the Rebels probably have a better backrow on balance but that also depends on who both the Force and the Rebels start at 6. If you want to win, I'd play Jordy Reid.

Force vs Rebels Round 1, 2016

Force vs Rebels. Saturday 27th of February @ 6:50pm local time. Who is going to win and why? Are the Rebels underdone? Will the Force actually place with speed and width as they have promised all pre-season? Which players are going to light it up? Bookies are favouring the Force but I think...

    Reds 2016

Yep. Now that the shackles are off we might get lucky and see some of the most amazing coaching ever witnessed in Super Rugby since a former Western Force coach came up with the "Bore the Tahs fans to death with incessant kicking" strategy.

Do you want to become a Force supporter, Mr Doug? ;)

    Waratahs 2016

It will be interesting to see how Ben McCalman goes injury wise when he comes back. Foley had a pretty enormous rugby work load last year- Super Rugby semi-finals plus RC and all the RWC games bar one. I think McCalman only played a handful of tests and mostly off the bench. Is anyone else on...

    Beautiful Rugby Grounds

Harvey Field in Cottesloe, WA. Surrounded by majestic Norfolk Island pines and a fantastic view down to arguably Australia's best "city beach". Fantastic weather doesn't hurt either.

    Japan Super Rugby team

Yeah- I saw the team sheet and he started at 8 according to that.

Pre Season - Force vs Asia Pacific Dragons

24-5 at half time. Not at the game- just reading twitter updates. If anyone is there, hit us up with some comments.

    Brumbies 2016

I agree with BR. I am a huge Ita Vaea fan. He is clearly an 8 and he does it really well. What exactly is Sean McMahon? I think Vaea has the potential to be our best number 8 (I would move Hooper to the bench and Pocock back to 7). I am not entirely sure what McMahon would be.

    Rebels 2016

After the first U20 game in 2013 where I thought Jake McIntyre was diabolical, pretty sure Hodge was the starting 10. He did pretty well in that tournament IMO.

    The Fallout from RWC 2015

2010 no. They sent a fairly full strength side. 2006 may as well have been a C team.

    Rebels 2016

I like your optimism but I don't see the Rebels in a better bargaining position once the season has started. Maybe at the end of the season for 2016. Maybe the Rebels should do what the Force has done for one season.

    Western Force - 2016

Yeah. You guys are grim. Who doesn't look better playing in France/UK? Holmes was serviceable but he wasn't a long-term option at Super Rugby level. He was given opportunities and some of his performances although not lacking in courage were not good enough. You can't blame Foley for that.
