Foley and Webb have left the building.

    Waratahs - post-season think

Why don't the Waratahs update their website. Coaches and Managers who have left the organisation are still showing. This relates to the 2012 Season that's finished now. What other professional business leaves up photos and details of staff who have in effect, joined a major competitor?

2012 Rugby Championship Game 1 Australia vs New Zealand - 18 August

Talk a little about Robinson's form. I just don't see the Ben Robinson of old, and would prefer Slipper at loosehead.

    G&GR GRASSROOTS RUGBY THINK TANK

Congratulations Johnno2500 on having a crack here with a few ideas. The various GPS, CAS, ISA etc associations schedules, history and politics will make it very difficult but at least you're 'Having a Go'.

So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

Agree with your thoughts, but his biggest selection mistake was in selecting Polota Nau. When Moore withdrew he should have gone for Fainga'a who was fit and match hardened. Polota Nau hadn't played for ages, wasn't fit and at his best is an average lineout thrower. Interestingly he hadn't been...

    G&GR GRASSROOTS RUGBY THINK TANK

The huge advantage Rugby League teams had to drive funding of their senior and junior clubs in the 1980's was their large licensed clubs and poker machines. Pubs didn't have any machines and these leagues clubs were booming.

Who would you bring into the Wallabies?

Germany's Olympic Discus Champion Robert Harting. He's big, strong and fast, and can rip his t-shirt off like the Hulk. After his celebration antics in London, he'll also give the Wallaby forwards some late night representation to go out with the 3 Amigos from our backline.

    Shute Shield 2012

Not only are Club players not centrally contracted, the vast majority aren't paid either. In fact this vast majority pay to play rugby via a registration fee. Most of the ones being paid don't exactly make big bucks and sending these players to clubs not of their choice is just wrong. The points...

    Salary cap shenanigans

Karl, I think it's a bit like people who become very rich quickly and then lose the lot......they found it easy to make the 1st Million $, but instead of setting their next sights on $2 Million, they go for $100 Million and it all comes undone. Salary Caps save clubs from themselves, as few...

    Salary cap shenanigans

Not sure TOCC, but it's defined as a 'village green' and is shared among league, union and cricket.

Who would you bring into the Wallabies?

    Perhaps Rodd & Gunn
  14. It is what it is

Who would you bring into the Wallabies?

The 2 guys who do the All Blacks strength & conditioning would make more impact than any 2 players.

    Reds 2013

Close mates who are officials in RL clubs, including recruitment. Money has dried up for Country RL playing options as Player/Coaches and State Cup Clubs are struggling to pay much more than $300 a win. Edit: Remember that over 70% of Toyota Cup players are Polynesian
  16. It is what it is

    Salary cap shenanigans

Geez Randwick could be rich with the amount of use the Wallabies and SOO League teams give Coogee Oval. Shame they don't own their oval. Wonder if the clubs involved own their ovals or are accepting money on behalf of a council?
  17. It is what it is

    Reds 2013

Don't rush in, just wait until Toyota Cup players are over 20yrs of age. By then the rugby league clubs have improved their fitness, strength & conditioning and usually taught them how to tackle too. Every season between 150-200 of them leave Toyota Cup and do not go to the NRL, as they are...

    Waratahs 2013

IS, I think you should be feeling better by the day. The Onion is being peeled, layer by layer and the BS and incompetence are being exposed. It appears amongst the turmoil that there will be some accountability and action. The salary cap outcomes will be another step in the right direction.

    Sydney Colts 2012

Once kids start high school, compulsory Saturday sport for the private schoolboys makes it near impossible for them to play club rugby too. If you add in travel to and from school and other school activities like excursions, trips, some study? etc, it gets even harder. Not sure about Uni but I...
