    The Podslam..some ideas

How about Geoff Mould. Coached the famous Aust Schoolboys of 77/78 with the Ella bros, Michael Hawker, Michael O'Connor, Wally Lewis and others. Coached in grade, still coaching at Coffs Harbour. Smart and articulate and absolutely gets it.

    Best current schoolboys coaches?

Great to recently read that Geoff Mould, coach of the famous '77 Aust Schoolboys is still coaching up the north coast

    Sydney Shake Up

Was it JON who taught Tony Abbott all about politics after training?

    Rumour: Deans could be gone

Despite all of the criticism of Deans as a coach, and there has been plenty, it's pretty hard to dislike Deans the person. He seems like a thoroughly decent guy.
  5. It is what it is

    The ranting at Deans/ARU/O'Neill/Players thread

What is JON indicating? A. How close Robbie is to being sacked? B. How big his own wallet is? C. How to applaud brilliant Wallaby backline play in case you've forgotten?

    Hypotheticals - 2013 Wallaby Positions

Yes JOC (James O'Connor) can play but I still see his creativity at this time limited to making opportunities for himself. He is still young and learning (hopefully), and the ability to make plays for others needs to come. For this reason I see him on the wing at Test level for now, and learning play making at...

Stuff the scrum coach. Let's get a bloody kicking and catching coach

We kick because; - we're not fit enough to run with it - we have no one in a better position to pass it to because they aren't fit enough to get there. - we can't run it because support players aren't fit enough to get to the resulting breakdown and secure possession. Pick the theme?

    Rumour: Deans could be gone

Here's Steve taking his lunch to work
  9. It is what it is

    The ranting at Deans/ARU/O'Neill/Players thread

28th May WJ said...."Agree completely, I am of the mind of giving foley another season, the guy has one a pretty extensive apprenticeship and deserves the opportunity to follow through a little before getting the boot."

    The ranting at Deans/ARU/O'Neill/Players thread

Interesting WJ, why didn't you apply this test to Foley and the Waratahs?

    Wallabies Fightback - Part 1

Some might call Deans comments reality but professional sports are also played between the ears. He has effectively provided his whole Wallaby squad with a cop out for future losses against NZ. At a later date are we to expect he'll somehow come out and declare "Yes, we are now ready to beat NZ"...
  12. It is what it is

    Shute Shield 2012

Perhaps he could play for Wicks 2nd grade.
  13. It is what it is

    A well deserved break.

To your point I just question whether all these guys who have a deep seated desire to be successful have the same definition of success. Is it as individuals or as part of a team? Is it mediocre success over a long period or spectacular success in a flash? Is it financial success and setting...

Stuff the scrum coach. Let's get a bloody kicking and catching coach

And here's an idea.....train and practice at night time when the overwhelming majority of your games are played. The ball travels differently through the air, the ball and surface are a little slippery in Autumn/Winter because of the dew, and you have to catch the bloody thing under LIGHTS...

    Salary cap shenanigans

All because that province's current official is assigning all the blame onto a recently departed official.
  16. It is what it is

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

Let's import the Whitelock family, there's a stack of them who can play and let's also find out what their mother is feeding them.

    Burke strikes back

Gallop from FFA might be able to help.
  18. It is what it is

    Shute Shield 2012

Nice try Mr Magoo but Gordon 4th grade players were late getting back from a buck's party in Queensland.
