It's a timing issue. When he gets it right he is so dominant, he just made some silly errors last year when he was given the chance. Have a look at that game he started for us though, he was very good IMO. Lots to work on but in the long run I think he will turn out to be a pretty solid 7.

Yeah I remember, it helped that they recruited a high number of very good players. I don't see it happening this year.

That will be really good for them.

I wonder what team he has been assigned to and whether he will play in the Dewar Shield instead of the SS.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

All games are going to be 30 minute halves, so a 5:30 kick off could be done for the JCG.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I can only say what was happening in Melbourne last year. All curtain raisers kicked off at either 5:05 or 5:10, although they were for 70-80 minute matches. I am not sure how long these games are going to be, whether the ARU are going to shorten them or if they are going to be normal ARU...

Probably 5:05. That's what they are usually IIRC.

It helps that we don't have a deckchair wearing number 1.

Melbourne won't be up the top this year, they have had a bit of an exodus, apparently for their first training session they only had 18 turn up. Top 3 will be Quins, House and Footscray I think.

Players to watch in 2014 - The Goal of the NRC

Aiming for it, but he is getting surgery in about a month apparently so who knows.

Players to watch in 2014 - The Goal of the NRC

He's done his ACL so I don't think we'll see him this year.

I am going into it with 14 players, the rest are ANZACs and my bench is full of ANZACs. Only way to do it. We get 6 transfers in week 1-2 so they will be used on getting some talent into my team.

I think Andrew Slyfield is still in charge at Box Hill, although he might have moved into a more of a "coaching director" role with 3 deputies for the grades. I am not sure.

Good set up, those guys are all good coaches. It will be interesting to see if Craig plays as well as coaches this year. Or whether he stops playing due to Ruhan leaving. He was there last year as an assistant but Ellis had a weird game plan. If you had Ben Jones, Chris Slade and Tim Neevez in...
