That was the policy once, but it changed maybe 5 or so years ago.

    CAS 2019

When the schools played back in 2017 (which I understand was the first meeting for some time) it was a great day of rugby from 13s to 1sts. I'm sorry that there wasn't a fixture last year and look forward to the day.

You are indeed an optimist.:) And to be fair, the NSWRU/Waratahs own the Crichton fuck up rather than RA. (I hope that Wamberal is noting this defence of RA on my part ;))

    Shute Shield 2019

Can't kill the Two Blues with an axe.:) Who knows, one day the NSWRU will realise that Parramatta still exist.;)

Although you'll notice that even though Ponga was born in Australia, lived his first 8 years here, spent 5 years in NZ and has lived in Australia from the age of 13 until the present that he's rugby ambition is to play for the ABs, not the Wallabies. Such is the state of the game in this country.

    Shute Shield 2019

My apologies, I was going off a historical page and it didn't go up to 2018. I stand corrected.

And even if they did, our super rugby sides have to jump through hoops to sign them and there's a cap on how many can be signed. They'd end up playing Shute Shield.

Nowhere near as much as super rugby, and he'd pretty much be home for dinner every night. Compare that to 2-3 weeks in SAF, back for a week and off to Argentina, back for a couple of weeks then off to Tokyo, etc, etc, etc.

A point I've been making for some time. Super rugby is a loser for Australia on so many levels, and this is another one.

Based on results, the Wallabies need all the help they can get.

Some of us can only dream... He will be eligible for a redundancy payment estimated to be worth about $750,000, but the full details of his remuneration will be revealed when the annual report is published later this year...

That's my point. In what sort of operation does the boss not accept accountability for his decisions and for the results on his watch? (To answer my own question, Australian Rugby - and it's not just head coaches:)) Incidentally, I don't think that Cheika is the sort of guy who really wants...

It begs the question as to why RA would appoint an assistant coach who has a different philosophy to the HC? I don't think it's remarkable though that the HC has the final say (whether it's Cheika or anyone else) as the HC is (or should be) ultimately responsible for the training, coaching and...

Your only mistake is to try to apply logical thinking to an organisation which has shown itself to be bereft of any logic or strategic decision making for many a long year.

The larger question would by why would a "rookie coach" be put in charge of a elite professional rugby team? As far as I can discover, his only coaching experience has been as assistant coach at the Brumbies 2011-13, head coach of the Brumbies in 2014-17 and assistant coach of the Wallabies...
