    1. There is no way that CFS can't be considered a starter. I think at this stage it's likely he will play early rounds on the wing. 2. Lets not kid ourselves, if ant Fainga'a wasn't absolutely 100% ready to go he wouldn't be considered for selection. I don't buy this "he's on the comeback trail...

Lahiff impressed me the other night. Just doing drills to warm up from the bench (hit shields, wrestling, jumps and line out lifts etc.) the other night you could plainly see that he is exceptionally powerful. Built like a Panzer battle tank, I thought he played well in his limited time on...

Our centres are a bloody good problem to have. The wayy I see it Fainga'a - probably our best 13 on balance of attack and D, can play 12 CFS - probably our most dynamic attacking option at 13, can play wing equally well Tapuai - a 12 with great feet, acceleration, short passing/kicking game and...

Actually I'll toss one out there from a little left of centre. I watched Malouf play for uni for a while, and he currently is an important member of the sevens squad. It's unfortunate he didn't play more club rugby last year in the finals due to sevens commitments. If I was a Super Rugby side...

In my opinion (having seen all of those young fellas, and the current crop play at school and club at various times), none of that younger crop are as good or mature as their older counterparts were at their age. That's not to say they won't improve and be good enough for super rugby mind you. I...

If my memory serves, Browning - 3 years of schoolboy representation. Captained his school and state twice at schoolboy level. - Aus schools Vice-captain when in year 11, Captain in last year of school - 2 years of 20's (finishing school a year late I think) Captained 20's in 2nd year. Won U/20...

Italy v Australia, Sunday Nov 10 2013, Stadio Olimpico

I agree with Slim, though I'm now about to say something he won't like. If Higgers wasn't injured, Mowen would not be in the XV. Fardy at 6 and Higgers at 8 would be my go there. In a perfect world I'd like to see fardy in the row, with Mowen, Higgers and Pocock in the back row.

If it had been me last week, I would have put Fardy into the 2nd row and dropped Horwill anyway (despite the Simmons injury). The bloke is obviously exhausted. Even Kane probably had more effective involvements in his limited time last week. With Simmons back on deck this week James should be on...

If you follow the Reds on instagram, Ready has been sighted in a few picture and videos wearing official looking kit. What that means I don't know.

    Springboks v Wallabies, Newlands, September 28 2013

He'll use CFS at 11 before he would ever consider him at 13. It's good that he is on tour though, he rightfully is next cab off the rank with an injured cummins. I thought Timani added excellent value in his cameo against the argies. He's an intimidator, his defense at the 2 and 3 positions...

Article in the Aust. today says that Anthony Milford (19 year old fullback for Canberra Raiders) is interested in a code switch if the Raiders won't release his NRL contract to move home to brisbane (wants to be here to help care for his sick dad). If we're in the business of picking up league...

I didn't mean that I hope he goes to canberra. Gunn (and Mitchell), excellent players. Very young. This is what academies are for. However, I'm just saying if offered an EPS in canberra vs an academy spot in QLD, a very difficult choice would need to be made (with this not necessarily the case...

If I was gunny I would take a gig in canberra. They have Pocock and smiler to compete with at 7 now that colby has gone. He would have the opportunity to learn from one of the game's best 7's and most disciplined men, as well as be under the tutelage of the white wizard of forward play in Laurie...

Australia vs South Africa - Brisbane 7th Sept 2013

Not exactly mate, dislocated shoulder w/ shoulder recon to repair the damage = 6 weeks in sling, 6 more weeks of doing nothing but ROM exercises, then 3 months of strengthening and rehab after that before they get eased back into contact training over a few weeks. It's a six month turnaround at...

I agree with most, LT is a good signing. He may or may not be a starter, hard to say at this stage. He has in the past played some bloody good games for the Tahs and the Wallabies in the past. The Reds are definitely still short one dynamite back 3 player though in terms of overall squad depth...
