    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It’s not broadcast related , but Wayne Smith had his farewell article in the Australian today . Well done to a quality journalist! He and Jim Tucker retiring in the past year leaves a big hole fir rugby reporting .

Super Rugby Rnd 6: Waratahs v Reds

What’s with Blyth ? Dangerous looking Reds’ backline. Hopefully Wallis and Nonggorr get some game time .

    Waratahs 2021

2002-2014 fairly long journey , good luck on this one. Reds hit their rock bottom in 2007 in Pretoria against the Bulls . That was the bye-bye Eddie farewell tour, turned it around in 2011 also playing the Saders in a home final .

    Waratahs 2021

Also saves the Tahs from being regularly unleashed upon by the Crusaders & Co , now that would be hard to come back from! Might make Christchurch 2002 look like not a bad day out ?

    Round 5 : Reds v Force, Suncorp Stadium, 20 March 6.45

Didn’t we score two tries off set piece last week? And butcher two with the last pass, in one case not being thrown?

    AIC Rugby 2021

Agree , you are only going to get AIC teams at the end of their season playing against a trial squad from a GPS school.

    Waratahs 2021

Is this the Tah’s thread ?

    Reds 2021

Hope for all the extended squad , but especially the younger fellas that the COVID bubble doesn’t reappear this season. Nonggorr , Flook, Nasser and Co would benefit from regular game time. Asiata had a run for Easts yesterday, so hopefully see these young guys getting a run for their clubs...

    Waratahs 2021

The ACC is always a bit of a shit game , not much more than a glorified preseason trial. It’s a pity it’s not played directly after the respective finals with the same team lineups and benefit of a season of rugby behind them. The rugby at the back end of QPR and SS was quite good to watch.

    Reds 2021

Tupou is going great and his ability to play the full 80 at the intensity he does is amazing. It also does have a downside though . Not a lot of game time for other THP’s , Nonggorr not getting on again last night. Training and getting picked in the game day 23 is a great opportunity, but...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2021

Yeah, Gordon certainly seemed to have ascendency in the first half . Easts weren’t really threatening. Well done to wrestle it back from there !

    QLD Premier Rugby 2021

Score? Only saw it to half time , they were down 10-3 at that stage.

    Waratahs 2021

Yeah , Stan/Nine won’t be seeing value if the biggest market audience is switching off . Not good for Australian rugby in general.

    Waratahs 2021

Skelton would be great for the Tahs , but does anyone know if coming home is on his radar? He seems to be thriving OS. It would be nice to see our lock stocks upgraded come Wallaby selection time , just have to wonder if that something Will himself actually wants .

Pretty sure Rodda was the highest paid Reds player, the pay cut was a percentage of full pay . He still would have been getting more than what some of his team mates started with before the pay cut.

    Reds 2021

Makes a lot of sense then ...

    Reds 2021

Heard someone mention that Rennie would like the Wallabies based at Ballymore once the redevelopment is done . He does live on the GC, so might be something to it?

    Reds 2021

It’s been mentioned a few times already , but a great backline, or team for that matter, doesn’t necessarily have to be made up of MVP’s in every position. In fact, I think a lot of MPV voted teams / backlines would be mostly disfunctional if they ever actually got onto a rugby field . You don’t...

Yes unlikely to happen , but would be very cool to see .

Also just noticed on the Reds’ team announcement that Vunivalu is registered to Wests . That would be a very impressive club backline if all the Reds player ever got on the field for a game of QPR.
