Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

How, when the stats I saw have them missing over 30 tackles? That means their intensity and effort were better and scrambled better. The structure was still rubbish. Also the ABs dropped the pill lot more.

I am glad I never had to report a crime to Hansen when he was a Cop. Integrity level zero.

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

Part two:- The All Blacks. The gulf between the Wallabies and the ABs is as wide as it ever has been, because of the issues stated in part 1 of my two part post and the improved base skill levels of the ABs players. Couple that with effective coaching that sees attacking plays, even break...

Bledisloe 2 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, Wellington, 27 August 2016

I'll break this into two parts:- 1) Wallabies The only part that improved was the intensity. The rest remains shite. The fundamental skills are just not there to improve so we cannot expect that to actually get better in the space of a week. What is very disappointing is the lack of...

    The Wallabies Thread

Its more a comment on how most of those in the Wallabies have come through the various HPUs, school boys etc etc. They are identified and moved into the "professional" system. How many are confronted and told about the weak spots in their game by oppositions at club level and tormented for it...

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

I would like that too. But as for the ARU doing anything for them or anybody away from their "elite" niches is just not going to happen. Maybe 13 years ago they could have done it, with a different structure and economic philosophy. Now it is a moot point as they simply do not have the cash...

    The Wallabies Thread

I found the rubbish that is spouted in public comes to be believed by those spouting it. It is much easier on oneself to be disappointed that admit that you don't have the skills required and haven't for some time despite being told how good you are.

    How to fix the wallabies

Not with the current ARU in place and anybody even remotely associated with it. I am for a total restructure but that means throwing out everyone who had even the least involvement in getting the code into the management situation it is in.

    How to fix the wallabies

No worries Sully, I never asked for agreement I was responding to the intellectual debate of a two word reply that responds to the points raised. I acknowledge that some don't agree and likely never will. That's fine, doesn't change my POV, not weird at all. Maybe I've just got my "fucking...

Real intelligent. Such biting debating points. I'm out of my intellectual depth.

Declining participation and ARU plans for the future

Great post mate. For 10 years now I have been hoping for a turnaround in ARU management. The squandering of the once in a lifetime 2003 RWC windfall (which should have been cloistered and invested like a sovereign wealth fund for the development of the game) was the real start of the downward...

    How to fix the wallabies

Yeah TWAS - what rubbish. The Qld sides are the Reds players not involved in the Wallabies + extended squad members and a few clubs for good measure. I expect Brisbane City will walk it again this year. Maybe Qld "Country" or whatever it is will provide the challenge. My arguments against...

    How to fix the wallabies

If you want to post Bill use your real name. ;) As discussed elsewhere the NRC does SFA to develop players and skills as needed now. It might in 10 years time but I doubt it or the ARU will exist. Tell me how a short competition and coaching exposure improves the base skills failures in the...

    How to fix the wallabies

Its become a self perpetuating myth because some clubs didn't see any value in it and opted not to be involved. Apparently not being involved in something of questionable value means you are sabotaging it. Edit the NRC that is. The ARC didn't need anybody to sabotage it, it was a lead...

    How to fix the wallabies

It is pretty clear that Larkham had little to do with the attack last year. The attack of the Wallabies at the RWC was pretty similar to what it had been before his arrival. This year they have moved on from that, which is as it should be, we do not have a complete game to remain static with...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

In 10 years I expect rugby will again be amateur in Australia and the Wallabies will be selected from OS sides that deign to release them for unimportant matters like test rugby.

Absolutely but erratic and inconsistent as well.

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

A pretty horrid season really. He isn't Nonu to play like a busted arse all the way through Super Rugby and become magic in test matches. Others like Moore (arguably the best rake in World rugby a couple of years ago) are in the same boat. Players like Foley, Phipps, Folau, DHP, Simmons all...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

Fancy moves? Larkham to my eye is playing a constant recycle game like he was successful with at the Wallabiea and Brumbies as a player. It was dire then (even if successful) and in any event the game has moved on and you actually have to do something more with the ball than grind away...

Bledisloe 1 - Wallabies vs All Blacks, ANZ Stadium, Sydney, 8:05pm

Your comment would be a lot better without the condescending/sarcastic "Messiah" bullshit. A good point, but in a team which misses over 30 tackles nobody can be selected for defence. The whole structure and the individuals must be examined. On form Kurindrani was the third best 13 in Australia...
