I agree. Playing Colts last year then playing against NSW 2 in front of Cheika is not a bad opportunity;) .

I think Oli played the trials in 1s as they expect him to play a fair bit of 1s this year. That in itself will be a big achievement. Relax, it will happen. As the saying goes, One day a Rooster, the next day a feather duster. Fortunes change.

T Thanks TB . Unless I missed something that does First Grade only. I love seeing the whole shebang , ie grades 1-4 plus colts. I find it interesting reading where players are up to as they come through the ranks.

If you were referring to my comments, I was making some positive suggestions. Maybe I guessed the resourcing wrong however I bet if who ever in power could get volunteers to assist with some of these things if they wanted to. Imagine this - "The SRU would like to call of expressions of interests...

Couldn't agree more!!!! With all these professional sports managers working for the ARU/NSWRU/SRU using terms and buzzwords like "product" & "engaging with stakeholders" they may not get it. We are the stakeholders & we like to know who is playing!! More interest = more people at the games. I...

Toby Brown is playing in Italy. Oli Nicholson played in the trial against NSW 2 and did well. I think he is ineligible for Colts however will stand corrected.

I also would love to see Tim Wright as captain. He exudes calmness and has been a mainstay of the back line in recent years. Figg may have to try harder to keep his position as well.

We also had Dan Falafeo? missing from the 2nd row. He played Tonga A in the PRC and will be back soon I hope. He is a big unit.

NSW Country - - - NRC Official Team Thread

Great info Baxxter. I am guessing this is well sourced given the thoroughness & detail. Bad luck if you are a non country Randwick or Easts player. They are the bottom of the pecking order and fighting for 1 of 3 spots. I would go overseas or change clubs if that were me.

I agree with Hugh Jarses excellent overview above. I just hope some young up & comers get a gig.

Great Stuff! Kellaway must be something special. If he is that good and can be in the starting side, I would have him swap positions with Dunbar - not sure he plays wing. Who would you add to the balance of the squad? I think I read the full squad will be 33 players although I wouldn't bet my...

!00% correct. As above, they are to be allocated from all of the Super 15 franchises. Don't know how they decide who goes where however the starting point might be club or origon. Also hear that the purported Country Coach Darren Coleman is taking over from Mark Bakewell at Easts. That should...

Who was the country party member that said (Ian Sinclair?) "I'm a Country member" to which the Parliament responded, yeah, we remember.......

    Sydney Colts - 2014

There were another 3 out, and Wicks captain went down early and was taken off with a broken ankle. I reckon Easts deserve a wrap, they showed great defence and were very committed & physical. They were the better side on the day. The poor old ref struggled however Easts deserved to win.

The infamous Green Slime Call. LOL - I deserved that. Randwick have developed a pathway for young players that seems to be attracting good young talent. That model is hardly original & seems to have worked well elsewhere... If it brings more players into the game rather than other codes I am...
