Why is Marto employed as a commentator?

Brendan Cannon = Captain Obvious "The Wallaby scrum is in real trouble here" "If we don't score soon we'll lose this match" "Alexander is struggling to hold the scrum up" "The All Blacks are finishing the stronger"

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

Seems like we have the Wallabies incompetent kicking game out in the open and being smashed by everyone. I need some help exposing another facet of the Wallabies play that has reached plague proportions.......the cut-out pass. The cut-out pass has spread through Australian rugby like a disease...

The TV Broadcasting of Australian Rugby

These comments from Hadley are insulting to his employers and to the game of rugby. Hadley, like his other commentators toes the line as required by Ch 9 and promotes other upcoming programs on the station during the rugby league game telecast every week. He is 'obliged' to talk up shows such as...

Slipper's general play with some great defence and runs.

    CAS Rugby 2013

At least spell "Waverley" correctly or change the others to Barka, Nocks, Trinartee, St Alowishus and Kranbrook. You've spelt it as both "Waverly" and "Waverely" on this same page. Oh yeah, Barker will win in 2013.

Pounds, Euros, Dollars or Pesos, I'm not proud and every man has his price.

    Shute Shield 2012

Not sure about any rorting of the player points system but Uni are simply getting away with what they can under the rules provided. Until a modified or new set of criteria are introduced it will be more of the same Blindside.

    Waratahs 2013

Thanks Peterson must produce in 2013, Hart, Ulugia and McKibbin just not up to Super level, Mitchell to be fair is gone for 2013, Carter is back up fodder at best, assuming Foley plays 10 who will play 15, and agree with need for lock and another backrow fetcher.

    Sydney Shake Up

What will the jingo song to mimic "C'mon Aussie, C'Mon" sound like for the new rugby comp? "Well you're up against the 3rd best you know, this replaces Shute Shield let's go To watch the best rugby mish mash of clubs you've ever seen. For JON has been clueless, and left the local clubs...

    Sydney Colts 2012

Here's another horse racing saying that's relevant....."the Melbourne Cup isn't run or won in April". I have no involvement with Uni, it's just an observation Matty.
  12. It is what it is

    Shute Shield 2012

Sydney Uni have simply out resourced other clubs and out grown the Shute Shield competition. It's very much like the Big Supermarket chains competing with the little corner grocery or liquor store. It's no good getting angry with them, they're just very good at it. And it's not just about...
  13. It is what it is

    Sydney Colts 2012

Uni's relentless pressure and discipline would have destroyed West Harbour. Uni Colts remind me of an outstanding 3yr old horse who has been racing well against older more seasoned horses in open weight for age races. When that young horse gets back to racing against horses its own age it kills...

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

There seems to be a lot of bashing of GPS, CAS and other private schools. I didn't attend one of these schools but I do respect how much effort and development work they do put into schoolboy rugby. On the flip side, think how worse off we'd be without these schools as there aren't many viable...

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

If rugby wants to become more popular in Australia it needs to accept that it's in the entertainment business. Fox and Channel 9 are entertainment providers and the entertainment provided at test level, while barely passable for the loyalist, is pretty ordinary for the average sports follower...

The TV Broadcasting of Australian Rugby

For any of you watching the rugby league finals on Ch 9, note how poor a caller Ray Hadley is on television. It's OK to call the play late on radio because there are no pictures, but he is regularly caught out on TV as he's so slow to keep up with player's names. For further proof, catch Andrew...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

The Waratahs would win everything if that was the key determinant.....on paper at least.
