I agree totally that player welfare take precedence. I an sure that is the basis for the request. My question is what if teams started using the uncontested scrum as a tactic to ensure possession for a hot backline. I recall a game Barker had against Aloys 2 years ago, where Barker lost...

My source is pretty reliable, regarding the request for uncontested scrums. Simon Marais (Barker 1st XX 2016) and Matt Graham are up from the 2nds. Two very high quality replacements from Barkers perspective. Both year 12 lads. Big and strong and fast.

A question to the CAS GnG bloggers. Cranbrook have requested that in the 1st XV match against Barker this weekend, that the scrums are not contested. Is this game then a genuine contest? Should the result stand if Cranbrook cause an upset and win given the scrum is no longer a offensive...

When my day of reckoning arrives I will have confess to Rev Plume (Barkers first Headmaster) that I have sinned in actually barracking for Knox this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Two teams with contrasting styles. I doubt a blowout will occur but no doubt Waves should be favourites. Knox have the cattle to win this. They just need to be coached to within a inch of their potential and then execute accordingly. That's what Barker did. Can Knox do the same? Sent from my...

Agreed with all of the above. Pavlakis is the most dangerous kick return runner in the comp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Barker did have the odd injury. Lochie Dring made it back for the Knox match having been out for 6 weeks. He added much needed height and weight to a good scrum putting Dane Wilson back in the 16s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will be interesting to see what the powers that control the CAS and GPS comps do next year. I doubt they will revert to the 2 round format. Barker put the cat amount the pigeons re the split GPS/ CAS round by being much stronger than the previous 2 years suggested. Will they repeat this years...

There was no denying the passion and commitment from any of the Knox players in any of the grades. Every one of them were up for their respective game against Barker. There are never any excuses from the players from either team on this very special day. It is the reason why being in the winning...
