    Rebels 2018

Thought I'd spotted Dom. I'd say I hope he sticks around, but I don't think there's going to be many back spots open in the greater squad: and particularly not back 3 with Sefa, Koroibete, Henry, Hodge, Engo, Tupou and Maddocks already in the mix before you even consider potential signings from...

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

I wonder if people would have taken it any better if it read 10. Beale, 15. Hodge, then just played identically to how they're going to do anyhow.

Beale will be popping up at 10 even moreso than he does with Foley methinks. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Rebels vs Toyota Verblitz, 12 November

Replacing Day/Retallick with Parling, and having Toolis and Jeffries fit will make such a difference in that forward pack for next year, with or without additional recruits in that area. One of this year's biggest problems without a doubt: no consistency in that forward pack

So the non-contracted/non-locals are: Moloney Hickey Adams Ponga Amoesa O'Connor Armstrong Latinapalu Any info on Hickey, Armstrong and Lanipalatu for someone who's not kept up with much non-Rebels/international/local stuff for a variety of reasons? Edit: Also good to hear Douglas grabbed a...

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

Think you've put the cart before the horse there FP. Viewers are flocking away from broadcast television because of the ever declining quality, increased number of ads, and extremely restricting scheduling: not the other way around.

    Rebels 2018

So we now have a trial/tour match in Japan against Toyota Verblitz a week on Sunday. With the touring Squad set to be named tomorrow. https://melbournerebels.com/2017/10/30/rebels-eye-future-with-verblitz-trial/ That's going to be very interesting to see what squads named, with no Wobblies, No...

If FTA TV is in anyways salvageable, it needs to begin by removing Reality TV and Game Shows from counting towards Australian Produced content. Otherwise let it die its slow and painful death. I'll be (or rather not be) watching popcorn in hand. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Wallabies EOYT 2017

With the exception of a Barbarians match or two, I can't remember the last time an Autumn International was on FTA. It's not ideal, but not unusual. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Commentators were definitely crap and getting them confused all the time, but I did think Jones was the standout lock on the pitch, particularly after Tui picked up his injury. Nothing as impactful as the big back rowers for sure, but just a lot of hard, neverending work.

Fox Sports advertising Wallabies v Japan as East v West. WTF? Last time I checked, Australia was in the Eastern Hemisphere. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

just on Comp Window once again: from:https://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/andrew-forrest-says-iprc-can-be-most-popular-rugby-competition-in-the-world/news-story/55450e605aea38af472144979934d284?nk=1ade90a827257a4bd1e546a397d6e395-1509155196 That certainly suggests that he'd prefer it to be...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Sounds pretty good so far. Hope it doesn't overlap with Soup at least for 2018-2020: after that who knows where the landscape is at. Decent contracts, particularly if they're only short term will be ideal for bringing the likes of the Samoan, Fijian and Tongan players throughout the south...

    Samoa to file for bankruptcy

Fundamentally I'm not opposed to a revenue sharing model. But call it parochial, it's not something I feel particularly sad about for anyone bar the PIs. Firstly, it always seems like an attempt by the big Southern Unions to get the 6 Nations Union's to financially subsidise them: smuggled in...

    Samoa to file for bankruptcy

Revenue sharing (particularly ticket revenue) is a fine thing to aim towards, but it should come with some sort of Contractual obligation for Tier 1 Nations to regularly host full tours and tour both everyone else in the the tier, plus the "developing" tier twos. There should be some sort of...
