Super Rugby Trial: Reds v Rebels 17 January 2020

Yeah I agree with a few on here. Actually think the Reds would have been better off playing an internal trial than that game. Very poor showing from the Rebels but that was to be expected really with the squad Wessels put out. I don't really get it, you have literally 2 games before the season...

Sorted. Needed a vpn on my end to view. Not sure why they wouldn't make it available os

    Reds 2020

I had a healthy hatred for Greene at club level due to his club of choice... so I would consider myself a harsh critic. In saying this I always believed he had wonderful rugby instincts, skills and speed. Thought he would make a brilliant 15 one day. I just watched a highlight video of him...

    Reds 2020

I agree as good intl level 10s but with decent coaching any of those guys should have developed into decent super level 10s. They have all shown that they have the ability(havent seen much of burton o will admit) however struggle with consistency. Skill development, game awareness/nous, sharing...

    Reds 2020

Lucas is good. Very good. His brothers always said he would be the best of the bunch. Lived and breathed rugby from the time he could walk. Hence he has pretty damn good awareness in games. Which suite him to 10 or 15 imo The strength, as some have said, he has shown the most is in his ability...

    Reds 2020

Exactly. Basically the point I was making for bringing an experienced, skilled and level headed 10. To help develop these younger playmakers. Oz rugby has proven recently that we have an inability to develop these young talented 10s into super/intl standard playmakers. Grab one of these intl...

    Reds 2020

Our 10 stocks are fine. Bringing in an experienced 10 would be more for hitting the ground running from round 1 and, more importantly, passing on their knowledge and experience to those younger 10s. I wouldn't want them starting every game, quite the opposite actually. More to help ease the...

The only position would be a good experienced 10. Any age. In fact after thought perhaps one towards the end of their career with a good understanding of strategic play/kicking. Can not think of any not signed right now though. Wouldn't be bad for the young guys to learn off for a season.

Great to hear Daugunu has re-signed. Many rumors were floating about that he would be shipping off o/s after his Reds contract had expired for bigger cash. Think it says a lot about what QLD are building that plenty of these guys could be off elsewhere but are deciding to hang about. Whilst my...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

My good and bad thoughts on this. Will start with the Good: - our tight 5 is better than theirs. It is not very often we have been able to say that v Eng. Excited for these blokes to hopefully play at their potential and completely outperform the SD tighties. Also our reserve piggies are better...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

I like the team. Obvious deserved rests for a few players. Glad Dempsey is getting a shot to impress. I like a couple of others think this may be an audition for him v Isi rather than Poey. The Pooper will start against England, Hoops and Poey's natural games just compliment each other...

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

Mate I couldn't agree more. I was quite shocked when I saw people panning his performance on here. He had a very astute mature game. Creating time and space for those around him whilst taking the contact and making some hard meters when he had to. His distribution/organisation when he slipped...

RWC Pool D: Wallabies v Fiji, Sat 21st September, 2.45pm AEST, Sapporo Dome

If his performance is classified as awful then we need a new scale with about 10 rungs below awful. He had 2 penalties conceded (pretty standard for an on the ball 7), at the time I recall one of them being very questionable. Made the highest number of tackles with 1 missed, an official turnover...

    Reds 2020

Continuing on with the squad discussion... I'm happy with what they've done after some initial hesitation regarding them announcing the squad before a game of NRC. They obviously believe those players will perform at super level and I think they are right. The backrow is littered with talent and...

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

I don't think we will see Kerevi defending at 13. I think it's reasonably safe to assume it will be 12. JOC (James O'Connor) 13. SK in attack and 12. SK 13. JOC (James O'Connor) in defense. JOC (James O'Connor) has always been a good defender however I wouldn't be surprised if it takes him 20 mins to get used to the speed of a bledisloe again...

Wallabies vs All Blacks 10th August @Optus Stadium Perth

From what I read he was playing 12, 13 & 15. I hope he is wrong about Hodge, he has done nothing to justify that position over Banks. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) needs a big game to prove his doubters wrong... they need to give both Jones and Coleman good time off the bench to see what they offer... 30 mins. Rough...

    Wallabies 2019 Thread

Agreed. He also missed his 1st 3 tackles on the weekend. On Petaia, even watching that video he strikes me much more of a 13 than wing. I'm sure he would perform well on the wing(better than hodge, I think banks is the pick) however he has silky hands and think he is better suited to 13. Tevita...

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

Like most my major gripe is the selection of Hodge over Banks and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) at 6. The Banks one I just do not get. He is faster, more skillful, debatably as good a kick(balance between distance and accuracy) legitimate x factor player as well as a great rugby brain. Slotted into 1st receiver all...
