I don't know SX I think Bros will need to win their last two and that means knocking off Sunnybank who have been pretty good this year despite going down to the Dogs in their recent encounter. I honestly think Wests only need win one of their last 2, because if they do then Easts need 5 point...

Run home for 4th is: Wests 31 Bros(h), Nths(h) Easts 30 Bye, GPS(h) Bros 28 Wests(a), Snbk(h) Souths 23 Bond(a) Bye Norths 22 Snbk(h), Wests(a) I will leave my obvious predictions to myself but a win by Wests this weekend may see them heading to Ballymore.

Elias Power - the man who went so far into the NRL Rookie. Patrick Lee was also a contestant in the show - what has happened to him?

Look Oracle I'm happy for Cree well done to him - my only beef with it was that he was being offered "big money" to play. I am happy for Norths with their recent success but i just hope they are not using the Stingrays model because that is just not sustainable. Not wanting to be too high &...

SX maybe the result doesn't matter as we'll run down both of them and finish 3rd!!!

Even though Wests have a bye this weekend the Snbk v Easts clash holds great significance for the Bulldog chances.

I would like nothing better than Norths getting those points back but I can't see the appeal being successful as the responsibility must surely rest with the club requiring the release not the club issuing it.

Just a bit of trivia - since 2011 the average points (adjusted by decreasing by 10 for the seasons when the Stingrays were in the Comp) for the team finishing 4th is 52.2 competition points. This year it will probably be about 39 points. Why? - 2 reasons: 1. Change from 4 try bonus point to...

    I am moving towards believing that Wests can get there but they aren't there just yet - plenty of twists & turns left in this season. TEAM: R15; R16; R17; R18; Top 3 Opp; 4-7 Opp; 8&9 Opp UNI(55)*; Souths(A); Easts(H); GPS(A) Bond(H) 1; 2; 1; GPS(37)*; Bond(H); Snbk(A); Uni(H); Easts(A) 2; 1...

Stevo - might be worth taking a leaf from SX - stop the finger pointing and get on with today's very important games. Looking forward to the Scifleet Stadium clash - I think if Wests are to crack a finals spot they need to get a win over Sunnybank.

Fire down Stevo. FYI - I actually coached Cree as a schoolboy. So I have followed his progression and I believe that Tim would do it for the love of the game but it was "Ruck n Maul" who said that Norths were throwing big money his way not I. Leave Bond alone they weren't the club playing an...

No axe to grind here mate just calling it as it is. I just don't think any rugby player should ask for coin to play 4 club games because after all every Premier Grade Rugby Club is a not-for-profit entity. It is not a dig at your club. Cree was an Easts bloke who left the club and went to the...

Fair enough but I hope he's doing it for the love of the game not coin. He'll get a nice welcome home from the Bottomley crowd this Saturday - not so much the players as not many of them would have every played with him.

Tim wasn't up to it when he played for Easts & Souths previously in QPR - I doubt you'd get value for money no matter how much or little you pay him. Given that Norths appear to be out of the race for the top 4 why bother, invest in the future and give a young bloke a go.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

Anyhow we are moving away from QPR which returns this week with some intriguing Round 14 match ups with Top 4 consequence with each result. Bros v Bond; Easts v Norths; GPS v Souths; Wests v Snbk. Losses for Bros, Easts, Souths or Wests could be fatal to their respective Top 4 chances.

Look coaching a Super Rugby side is clearly not easy - well coaching an Australian franchise. In the 70s, 80s & 90s Aust had great coaches - Marks, Templeton, Dwyer, Jones, Connelly, McQueen, etc that got the best out of their players, teams and other coaches. My concern is that Aust wide do...

Ready is very good over the ball at the breakdown - I'd say he'd have good stats in Super Rugby for this KPI. He was a flanker at GT in his schoolboy rugby days. I think Stiles was his 1st XV coach at GT.

Maybe Stiles & o'rs need to just watch some QPR games. It does seem that Stiles is made of teflon!!!!
