    New Scrum Laws and Interpretations

What has happened to the reserves for the front row that came in last year, with a full front row on the bench? Super Rugby didn't take it up?

Well looks like I was too optimistic :(

    New Scrum Laws and Interpretations

I'd say we'll hear a couple at least. Saying something for so long, coupled with fatigue toward the end of a game might mean a couple of crouch, touch, pau-aaaa-set

    New Scrum Laws and Interpretations

From my understanding, Crouch, Touch, Pause, Engage was also not supposed to be said in any particular cadence. The ref was supposed to be waiting for the front row to crouch, then touch. The pause is really irrelavant, thats why it's been removed. Then Set is quicker to say than EN-gage. With...

    Rugby TV Shows

I don't think people should be too worried about the pie segment (or cake or whatever it was). Don't forget of the things they have to fit in. Match previews of all the games (this week it was 2), Match reviews (this week was only brief trials, next week will be 2 but then we will be getting 7)...

    Waratahs 2013

I had a vision of when Folou knocked the ball dead of Cheika just going "Sh!t, forgot to tell him about that one". You could see Kepu while they were waiting for Carter to kick just explaining to Folou that you can't do that. For a trial game it felt pretty packed. I'm not to worried about how...

    Waratahs 2013

O'Driscoll and Tana Umaga would probably disagree. If your captaincy material, your position shouldn't disclude your selection. But you're right a lot of coaches like their captains close to the action rather than overseeing (like a fullback or wing)

    Cringeworthy Kearns/Martin moments.....minutes......hours......

Couldn't think of any other thread to post this. Cringe-worthy for different reasons, but I'm sure plenty of people would get a laugh out of it if they haven't seen it before http://www.triplem.com.au/brisbane/shows/grill-team/video/quade-cooper-and-sonny-bill-williams-punch-marto/ The...

    Lions Tour 2013

Got tickets to Sydney through the presale. Went silver because I've sat up the back (2nd last row) For the Bledisloe before and while still fun, wasn't as enjoyable as other games. Happy with my seats in one of the corners elevated. Pumped already

    Waratahs 2013

Probably wishful thinking, but there are there any feeds of the trial games? Foxsports doing anything online again?

    Thoughts on Folau to rugby

Perfect for the Waratahs, on the back of a dismal season there were not many other ways they were gonna get bums back on seats for the first game. If the team played well then crowds would get drawn back over the course of the season, but this is guaranteed to get an increase for the first...

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

Under Burkey's Law of not being able to comment on the games unless you played at that level, Campo's criticism stands up. But no, terrible form. I like Robinson, I find her pretty balanced and knowledgable. So is Alana Smith on foxsports. Totally out of line, Campo

Quade telling it how it is

I found the last line of that article pretty amusing "In a bizarre twist some rugby officials could well be in Steffensen's corner urging him to rip Cooper's head off while some athletics officials would undoubtedly cheer for the Wallaby to chop their running man to pieces."

Quade telling it how it is

Yeah I don't think this is a situation of "**** those banjo players up north!" I think this more a case of the ARU getting frustrated with all the rings Quade is trying to get them to jump through. Because you're right, the ARU have a lot to gain by keeping Quade in the code. I have a mate who...

Quade telling it how it is

I think its more the dramatic change in the amount he was offered the ARU is the problem to most people who are frustrated with the ARU's handling of this. According to Marto on the radio last night (maybe only a marginally better source than that grub Weidler) Quade was originally offered the...

GAGR Vote - Should Deans go after the EOYT?

It's annoying to me that after the first half of TRC, everyone was crying for Dean's head, then after the Argentina game and the All Blacks in Brizzy, the general consensus was that "he's done enough to save his job and should be kept at least til the end of the Lion's tour", then after the...

    Foreign recruitment

It didn't seem to be a pressing issue after the first two Bledisloe matches this year. Storm in a teacup, Shag trying to delfect attention from what was a sub-par performence by the Darkness, where this was arguably the last match between them and going through the year with a clean record

    Did Tapuai butcher a try?

Your right Wamberal. It's a lot better than him putting ball to boot in that position too. It allows for ball retention at the very least

    End of Year Tour 2012

I think good on Sharpie for doing it. Leadership is still a bit lacking despite Horwill and Pocock still not ruling out the EOYT (As far as I can remember... might be wrong). Think he might be considering the Lions?
