Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

I understand why the Wallabies played conservative. Very different French side on paper this week so analysis of last week not so helpful. They went into this game facing a bit of an unknown and given how unpredictable the French can be, it was the right move. What I liked most about last...

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

For Christ's sake mate, nice piece of selected quoting there. Funny it is the rest of my post that gives the piece you have quoted some context. Would the crowd they drew last night had of sold out the smaller venue? I seriously doubt it, so that argument holds no weight. That is just your...

    MOTM vs France 2nd Test

3/ Kepu 2/ Slipper 1/ TPN Really good performance from the front row tonight. Horwill also looked to play bloody well also.

You can hold that hope but I wouldn't be surprised if Genia is being rested. If he finishes Super Rugby strong I would not at all be surprised to see him take back the 9 for the first Bledisloe.

Wallabies v France - June 14 Etihad Stadium

It looked like a terrible game to watch live at a terrible venue. Those who parted with their coin to attend it have every right to feel annoyed. Next year play the game at that swank looking rectangular stadium. It looks capable of holding a decent crowd and the enhanced atmosphere of the...

    Reds 2015

All the best to Anae. When Slipper was shifted to LHP on a regular basis, this basically left Anea in the cold. We can talk the virtues of depth but he has himself to consider and the clock is ticking on his career. He is to good to be second fiddle on a regular basis. Good luck to the bloke...

All Blacks v Poms, Test 1 Auckland

I Woodcock gets dropped for Crockett I think the Poms will be skulling warm beer for days in celebration.

Some people just haven't learnt the lesson on what is required of a bench player. Impact this and mpact that is just naive. What happened to Moore last night could happen to anybody and the bench player may effectively have to play the role of the starting player. Anybody who can't...

This was a bloody good game. The Poms played with some real intent.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

The trend seems to me that the more experienced takes the five jersey. Don't know why but I remember Sharpie took the 5 jersey from Horwill when they played. Would love to know the reason behind it today.

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

But the Wallabies entered this game with four wins on the trot, a known new way of playing the game under a new coach that lead the local super rugby franchise to a title and a period that put them back on the map and competing very well with the other football codes. The crowd was very poor no...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

The top level seats at Lang Park above the Reds members side are not worth their platinum listing in my view. We sat there for the Reds Vs Brumbies earlier in the year and I didn't like them. The view was ok but it was just to far removed from the atmosphere. A couple of years back we sat in...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Use it or lose it I say. Perth I am sure would want it and that new re development at the Adelaide oval looks an absolute rippa. Newcastle looks a good option also because they put on a good turnout for that Scotland game in those dreadful conditions. That crowd last night was just...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

I'm not sold on the idea of Hooper as captain. Just let him play his rugby and focus on his own game. I would prefer an older head TBH but captaining a side from the wing just sounds ridiculous. Slipper would be a fair choice at captain and honestly I think both Fardy or Palu would be well up...

    Wallabies v France 1st test - Suncorp 7 June

Horwill back into starting lock position and Jones to the bench. Charles gets his shot and much deserved. After Moore left Totafu Plod Of Cows did a bloody good job. Good to see him getting the staples right and playing with a bit more self preservation in mind. He looked the complete...

To'omua at 12 was more about the combination he had with Quade. Things have changed now and I wouldn't be surprised to see him at 10 and Harris at 12. Harris sounds odd and many would disagree but that goal kicking boot of his must be awfully tempting for Link. Harris isn't the sort of player...

Reds v Highlanders Friday 30th May

Simmons takes the Wallaby 4 jersey without doubt. That was some great lineout work. We could of drawn or lost that one and I think I would have still been proud. Just good to see us chance our arm and show the confidence to have a go. Well done all. Plus how fantastic was that push over?

Are we really going to blame the coach for the boots a player wears? I would like to think the player is responsible for showing that initiative. At the end of the day it is he who runs in them.

They do it with a lower center of gravity than the Tahs forwards do. Neither right or wrong I guess but I doubt the bigger Tah forwards could get that low so compensate with a bigger collision at pace.
