    Shute Shield 2013

Great idea, who sells a season ticket for $50 - I might get one for them next year anyway! Would make the decision of where to go on a Saturday easier! A Gordon ticket this year would cost me $110 - $38 less than my Tahs membership (which includes a ticket for the Lions game)

    Shute Shield 2013

West Harbour Manly Randwick - if Norths play like they did against uni or Souths Souths hopefully but Uni were very very good on Friday night - More Friday night games please (especially when Tahs at ANZ on Saturday and a decent pre game on offer too - will probably miss a SS game to head to ANZ...

    Country v B&I Lions

I think it will fill up once the tour arrives, tours dont include this game in them and you need an Australian address to send the tickets. So sales so far are only for people already here.

Yes, Todd was our assistant coach for a few years after playing then was head coach for a season. He was one of our best ever imports and a real popular guy at the club with fans, players and staff.

Toddy still has a house in Auld Reekie would be very happy if he was the choice. Can't see McKenzie working under a DOR.

I saw some of the under 20s this year and McGrath looked a great prospect (not quite Kennedy though ;) , him and Daily (I think the kicking centre anyway) stood out in the backs for me.

Actual breakdown of where Lions squad were born: England 10 Wales 9 Ireland 8 New Zealand 3 South Africa 2 Scotland 2 Tonga 1 Samoa 1 Israel 1

Agree with exception of Davies and Farrell on bench need a back three replacement.

He is not a natural 10 and the experiment to play him there for Glasgow didnt work but at a push I guess he could play there if needed. The real odd thing is that the midweek team could have a backline where three players are not in their best/primary positions. I guess WG has picked a squad of...

Only four centres seems odd too.

Stevens and Hartley are a joke as is only two stand offs. Maitland is better than visser on defence and can play all back three.

Then it might make sense to have Phillips and Sexton as first choice, Youngs and Wilko as 2nd and Laidlaw to cover both positions on bench during those games? Its just Wilko will miss BaaBaas game and probably not be ready for Force game either and I wouldnt want to take both Farrell and...

Farrell does that better than Twelvetrees in my opinion

No way Twelvetrees should go, Wilko and Farrell fair enough (I dont think Wilko will cope with a full tour though and for that reason should not be picked).

I am going for a squad of 38 with a definite Scottish bias ;) Jenkins, Healy, Grant, Jones, Cole, Murray Hibbard, Youngs, Best Launchbury, Gray, Wynn-Jones, Ryan, O'Connell Jones, Wood, Warburton (C), Tipuric, Robshaw, Faletau, Heaslip Phillips, Youngs, Laidlaw Farrell, Sexton Barritt, Tuilagi...

    2016 Super Rugby Expansion

If there is money then 4 groups of 6 would be my favoured option. 6 Saffies, 6 Kiwis, 6 Aussie (gives the Wallabies at least 5 starting players to pick from with a splattering of international players over here) and a Pac Rim group - Combined Islanders, Hong Kong, Singapore and three Japanese...

Waratahs vs Chiefs Super Rugby Rd 10, Fri 19 April 2013

Dont forget the Guy Sebastian concert... wish the Taphouse would show the 5.30 game on Tah nights.

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

Having just completed my citizenship test, I can confirm there is nothing about sport in there at all. A few questions like - Who were the first immigrants to Australia? When is ANZAC day? then the rest are about the senate and parliament. Took me 2min 15secs to complete - its basically a test...

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

    1. Bring back rucking 2. Sort the p*ssing about by the weaker front row and refs at scrums 3. Bring back rucking 4. Encourage teams/stadiums to increase width of pitches if stadium allows (perhaps just increase both minimum and maximum allowed dimensions) 5. Bring back rucking 6. Sort out the...

An ex-team mate is working on the SA tour and has been told to expect 5 players away on lions duty if fit. Also another ex-team mate has been told Visser using tour to go to france, may be agent trying to get deal done before squad announced however. What may help is that all but Gray if he...
