Well viewership of the AFL is not actually growing at all. Numbers are down from pre pandemic levels including TV. The AFL has the money to lose. We need to make sure we use the money on things that will make the game financially sustainable. I don’t see how competing with the AFLW does this

ANZAC weekend was always a poor choice, I get it was forced on them and they did prefer a March time slot for last season as well. The Bledisloe was a good success outside of the ref and the result. I saw a lot of people new to the game go down.
