    Rebels 2023

Yeah and we took our branding from the Eureka Stockade. A navy flag not a pink flag

    Rebels 2023

Nup, navy blue is the colour of Victoria.

Gee get one prop and lose two, can see Orr leaving but I think Pone will stay. Very tight with the Melbourne boys. Not sure exactly what the drama was but there was something between him and Hunter IIRC. Also think with his body issues and Tupou’s issues neither player will see it as a bad thing...

    Rebels 2023

Like every year they have been in the comp my pass mark is to win more games than we lose. I get the team’s inexperienced but they have to find a way.

    Rebels 2023

Winning drives culture. We simply have to win

    Rebels 2023

It’s not risky at all, the rebels have been historically a poor performing franchise. They get one of the best players in Aus and one of the best players from a top two side in Aus. If it fails we are in the same boat we normally are in if it succeeds we start to climb

If he is only signing for two it’s unlikely their is a sabbatical

    Rebels 2023

Eloff has played a lot in the 1 jersey for the Rebs. Move him back to one and alternate the two big fellas at 3 to keep them both fresh and having an impact all season long

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) Round 1 25/02/23 Force v Rebels

What’s happened to the young bloke who carved us up at 10 at AAMI park? Played at Nudge.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I have noticed that but then wondered is it targeted advertising?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think the point you are all missing is, it gives you who know the game well and can form your own opinion nothing but it’s not for you. It’s for the new viewers who don’t know the game

    Rebels 2023

Probably 10% from the UK, 10% non Pasifika kiwis, 10% South African’s and 5% Aussies

Having no NRC is better how?

Would need some funding to help out in Melbourne. Most clubs here couldn’t afford the airfares

Having no NRC is better how?

I think it will be a slow process as anyone with any ambition of higher honours left when covid hit. So the gap would be pretty big. I would like to think that with the growing pathways in Vic that in the mid term we could build that back up

They are a minor jumper sponsor of Collingwood, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and Penrith. Now the Rebels so they sponsor a few.

Having no NRC is better how?

I don’t mind the idea it’s just the logistics of it all. For example I can’t see the Rebels putting their players in the local comp so the Melbourne team will be incredibly weak compared to Queensland and NSW counterparts.

As a Victorian boy, who grew up playing rugby here so bloody proud to see a local captain the Rebels. Every dealing I have ever had with him he comes across as a great person.
