    Reds 2015

Woke up a bit of a cynic today, eh? If he's leaving it has nothing to do with the ARU and everything to do the the Reds/QRU. It's not like he jumped ship when he was actually playing and still wasn't being selected or respected by the spy from the isle. If I had to wager whether the red or...

Cheetahs vs Reds. Round 10, Sun 19 April

Said in his interview with W. Bennet that he hasn't heard back from any Japanese clubs. I thought it was odd, but who actually knows other than him and Nasser?

You have a point. I don't remember reading about where the fracture was but I assumed based on the 9-week recovery window that it was probably somewhere along the spine or the neck. I'd think a big fracture across the body would take a bit longer to heal, much less return to play. It's...

Yeah I just poked around, looks like the AC Joint injury back in May 2014 and the collarbone break back in January were on the left side and this recent fracture is on the right. Maybe he was tackling with his chest for so long because he knew things we didn't  A bit surprising he's...

Hard to even maintain bulk up there if you're repeatedly injuring your shoulders. Quade's essentially come out of these injuries in the minimal time windows and then been injured pretty quickly afterwards, so would have had almost no time pushing any real weight around in the gym for a while now.

Was QC (Quade Cooper)'s recent injury on the same side as his previous pair of shoulder injuries?

Think someone mentioned a few pages back that Duncan is currently with the U-20s.

    Reds 2015

Brendan, a player revolt would make the Reds about as appealing to any quality coach as wandering through Chernobyl naked, at night, in the middle of winter. It'd be a possible short-term fix (hardly any guarantee it would work at all - shit could potentially get worse, and then you have the...

Knuckles to HC (and in charge of the bloody defense), Graham to backs/skills and Reds to the Championship - documentary to follow.

    Reds 2015

I was going to suggest some kind of unilateral system for tracking player management through the franchises and into the Wallabies camp (I honestly don't have a clue how this is currently handled) at the end of my last post. Then I thought that if it isn't already in place I'm probably more...

Even the likelihood of hard tissue injuries can be mitigated by tracking workload of a player (naturally you'll still have freak breaks - but that's exactly what they should be, freak incidents). We've had a startling number of soft tissue injuries and have looked relatively unfit as a squad...

Gotcha, I misinterpreted your original statement. In my own line of work I have to say "I don't know" directly to the faces of well-paying clients often enough to make the average person vomit (with the same appendage of how we're going to find out). Thanks Google. I guess after learning how...

I can't really agree that's it's understandable to stick to your guns when you've done nothing but shoot blanks from the moment you decided to unholster the things. Unless your end-game is to come out looking like a headless chook. Maybe we just need bigger guns? I mean, we're one...

If any part of the Reds coaching group doesn't believe that top-notch/cutting edge/individualized/other adjectives S&C and aggressive management of injuries (with a focus on preventing them) is the literal heart and soul of any professional sports team (100x so for contact sports like Rugby)...

    Rugby Quotes of the Week

I may be paraphrasing slightly because it's been a few days and it was very early in the morning but this one from the Hurricanes v. Rebels match over the weekend got a chuckle out of me. I was flipping between tabs to come back to the Rebels pushing up on the 'Canes tryline before TJ Perenara...

Jantjies at 13 is an enormous scoring opportunity. C'mon boys.

Oh look at that we remembered how to rugby for a second there and we scored!

He was a mile away from the ball, camera angle on the replay showed it a lot more clearly. Stupid play by him to not straighten up and consequentially run himself out of the range of the pass, stupid in general that the entire line was drifting with such prejudice.

Attack through the back line so lateral that JOC (James O'Connor) drops the pass because he drifted off of it..
